Solid respawn in loss
May 16, 2018
Faccento had strong respawn rounds but struggled elsewhere in the 3-2 loss to Team Kaliber, on Day 1 of CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
ANALYSIS
The respawn rounds were easily the best rounds for Faccento. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him get off to a hot start, as he and Saints paced Echo Fox to a 50-2 lead. While he played well, and Echo Fox kept the lead, for the majority of the round. They faltered late to lose the round however. Round 3 Capture the Flag saw him play well and net 18 kills in the round. The round was tense and defensive, and Faccento was a key part in keeping the defense strong. He slayed well again in Round 4 Hardpoint, netting 29 kills, second on the team and third in the lobby. He had a big kill that got them close to a win, but a superhero play by Kenny stopped that. He limped to the end, however, going 1/8 through the first eight games of a nine-game Round 5 Search & Destroy loss.
Pushes rivals out of hills
April 22, 2018
Faccento out brawled Team Kaliber in a 3-2 win on Sunday at CWL Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Faccento came into this series having done his research on Team Kaliber. Instead of trying to wrap around his mobile opponents, Faccento stuck close with this team to slay out Team Kaliber's flanks and raids. In Round 1 Hardpoint, his tight formation often gave him favorable spawns that allowed him to flood back into the hill after death. His research came out clearest in Round 2 Search & Destroy where he was able to rush Team Kaliber's positions. Though these pushes were often unfruitful, it did allow him to make a small comeback halfway through the round. His attacks were more successful in Round 5 Search & Destroy on Saint Marie Du Monte where he could play around easy power positions like top Restaurant.
Builds speed in series
April 21, 2018
Faccento had a slow start in a 3-2 win over Rise Nation on Friday of CWL Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Faccento has always been a steady support player with solid slaying when working with Aqua. This series, however, saw Faccento get off to a disheartening start. Round 1 Hardpoint on Saint Maire Du Monte saw Faccento play a mechanically sound game but with poor execution. Going double negative in KD, Faccento tried to out-rotate Rise Nation only to fall to their gunfire early on. He slowly rebounded in Round 2 Search & Destroy as his supportive instincts kicked in, allowing him to watch flanks against a sneaky opponent.
Incredible final round
March 31, 2018
Faccento saved the best for last in the sweep win over Cyclone on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
Faccento had a nice start to Round 1 Hardpoint, picking up the slack while Nagafen found his way. Faccento faded a bit, however, and ended up going just 25/25 in the round. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Aqua rack up 16 kills and the rest of Echo Fox struggle, with the second highest kill total on the team at just four. Faccento got the final non-Aqua kill for Echo Fox in Game 4 of the round. Round 3 Capture the Flag is where he buried his struggles from the early portion, starting a ridiculous 15/3. He ended up having 20 first half kills and finishing with 29. He was superb in the last round and paced them to their easy 5-1 win. His strong finish will be something to build on going forward.
Poor performance with some good moments
March 1, 2018
Faccento was not great in the big picture of this one, but he had some important moments in the 3-2 win over Team Kaliber, a match that took place on Wednesday during the CWL Global Pro League, Stage 1 sixth week.
ANALYSIS
Round 1 Hardpoint was bad for everyone, not just Faccento. He finished with a sub-1.00 KD ratio, but so did the rest of his team. They struggled to get to 106 points, and it was as bad as a blow out as the score suggested. Faccento never really got rolling after the round, even if he had some important plays later on. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Faccento struggle for the vast majority of the round, waking up in the final two games as they tied the series. Round 3 Capture the Flag was his best round. He had 21 kills, and was a stable slaying force in each half. He had a great defensive play in the second half to stop a Team Kaliber flag cap, and helped spring an offensive run in the other direction. He made smart two-way plays throughout the round and it gave him his best performance of the match. He did not capatilize on it, however, raking up a massive 35-death toll in Round 4 Hardpoint. Team Kaliber won the round rather easily, and performances like Faccento's were why they could run away with it. He had a Jekyll-and-Hyde performance in Round 5 Hardpoint, getting no kills through seven games before getting two kills in Game 8 and three in Game 10, the latter winning the round for them. Overall, it was a poor match for Faccento, despite the big moments.
Lackluster performance still gets the win
February 21, 2018
Faccento performed the worst of his team during Echo Fox's series against Vitality, but ultimately that didn't matter as Echo Fox won 3-0 anyway during Day 7 of the CWL Pro League, Division A.
ANALYSIS
During this particular series against Vitality, Echo Fox's Faccento seemed like a third wheel, just being pulled along for the ride as his teammates did the heavy lifting. Round 1 Hardpoint saw Faccento go negative in KD with 34/38, and a mere 46 seconds of hardpoint control time. During Round 2 Search & Destroy, Faccento fared even worse, with a tiny KD of 1/6, even though he did manage to score a bomb plant. Faccento did pull some weight in Round 3 Capture the Flag with two flag captures, but even then his KD suffered with a negative score of 14/18. Faccento was clearly being carried this series, as Echo Fox defeated Vitality in a quick 3-0 fashion.
Good things despite sweep loss
February 1, 2018
Faccento played well, but Echo Fox were still swept by Rise Nation to finish Wednesday's matches for the CWL Global Pro League Stage 1 season.
ANALYSIS
Round 1 Hardpoint saw Echo Fox consistently trail Rise Nation, mostly due to the awfully slow start that got them into a huge deficit. Faccento was key in getting them back into it, but it had nothing to do with his gun. He was outslayed often, and posted a 21/29 KD in the round. He did, however, soak up plenty of Harpoint time. He earned 1:29 on the objective, which was important considering the ground they had to make up. They could not get there, however, and lost the round. He was the only member of Echo Fox to play well in Round 2 Search & Destroy. He started off hot, notching the final kill in the opening game. They would win just one more game, however, as TJHaLy and Rise Nation dominated the rest of the round. He was solid yet again in Round 3 Capture the Flag, providing their only flag cap and 17 kills. However, they faltered in overtime, and were swept.
Has a weak series against OpTic Gaming
January 31, 2018
Not much can be said about Faccento's performance during Echo Fox's 3-1 loss to OpTic Gaming on Tuesday during Stage 1 of the CWL Pro League, as he simply lagged behind the rest of his team almost the whole series.
ANALYSIS
Faccento came out floundering in Round 1 Hardpoint, as he was dropped again and again by OpTic's guns, eventually earning only a 17/27 KD for that round. Even during Round 2 Search & Destroy, which Echo Fox won, Faccento struggled his way to a 5/5 while the rest of his team went positive. During Round 3 Capture the Flag, Faccento had no flag captures to his name, and was the only member of Echo Fox to get a negative KD that round with 16/20. Faccento finally went positive in KD during Round 4 Hardpoint with 30/29, but by then he could do little to stop OpTic Gaming from taking the series away from his team.
Fails to go big against Team Kaliber
January 25, 2018
Faccento only ended one round against Team Kaliber with a positive KD during Echo Fox's 3-2 loss on Wednesday during Stage 1 of the CWL Pro League.
ANALYSIS
Things did not go right for Faccento during most of Echo Fox's series against Team Kaliber. Just like Echo Fox narrowly missing a Round 1 Hardpoint victory, Faccento fell just short of a positive KD that round with 29/34. Even when Echo Fox got on the board during Round 2 Search & Destroy with a narrow victory, Faccento lagged behind his team only scoring a KD of 5/10. Faccento's only positive KD round was Round 3 Capture the Flag, where he scored an acceptable KD of 16/12, with no flag captures to his name. Faccento slid back yet again during Round 4 Hardpoint, just barely going negative in KD that round with 23/24. Faccento attempted to redeem himself again during Round 5 Search & Destroy, but he'd go negative again in KD with 4/5, as Team Kaliber clutched their victory against Echo Fox and sent Faccento packing.
Objective-based in win
January 24, 2018
Faccento did a good job on the objective in the 3-1 Global Pro League Stage 1, Division A, win over eRa Eternity.
ANALYSIS
While Faccento did some good things with his guns in the match, his biggest contributions in the win over eRa Eternity came with his smart objective play. This is highlighted right away, as he had a solid one minute on the objective in Round 1 Hardpoint. For the most part, outside of a nifty five-kill streak that tied the round about halfway through the map, he struggled to put together a string of kills. He ended up with a 26/28 KD in the round, but the minute of Hardpoint time went a long way in what was a competitive round. He continued his background style of play in Round 2 Search & Destroy. Assault took the lead for Echo Fox, and everyone else pitched in around him. Faccento did so on multiple occasions with his sniper rifle, with his biggest round coming in Game 5, as he took out a few eRa Eternity members early in the round. Round 3 Capture the Flag was Echo Fox's lone blemish in the match, and they got dominated; their offense was completely stifled by a desperate eRa Eternity squad, and they were basically stopped from the get-go. Faccento got the lone flag pull for Echo Fox, but had a poor 13/21 KD outside of that. Round 4 Hardpoint saw Echo Fox make up for round three and then some, absolutely crushing eRa Eternity en route to a round and match win. Faccento really struggled to slay in this one, going 18/28, but he put together a strong 1:57 on the objective. His teammates combined for 86 kills, so his lack of slaying ability was more than made up for. He smartly focused on the Hardpoint because of it, and was still important to an easy win for Echo Fox.
Beautiful performance in Round 2 S&D ruined in reverse sweep
January 14, 2018
Faccento could not stop Luminosity Gaming from a reverse sweep in the second round of the upper bracket at CWL New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Faccento's shining moment came in Round 2 Search and Destroy, simply flexing his dominant S&D skills as Echo Fox raced out to a 2-0 series lead. First, it was two kills with the sniper in the opening game, then it was a two-piece to end Game 3. The dominance continued into Game 5 as Faccento managed to earn full scorestreaks, which essentially ended Luminosity's last-gasp rally in Game 9. From there though, Faccento simply struggled, catching fire too late in Round 3 Capture the Flag, and failing to catch anything of substance in Rounds 4 and 5.
Picks off OpTic with sniper in win
January 14, 2018
Faccento played well and was a big reason why Echo Fox came out ahead with a 3-1 win over OpTic Gaming on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
Once Faccento brought out his sniper rifle in this series, OpTic Gaming was powerless to stop the pesky foxes from walking all over that Green Wall. It was mainly in the Search & Destroy round that he busted it out and set Echo Fox on the road to three straight wins to come away with a series victory. Once Echo Fox gained this momentum, there was no stopping them as they were the more cohesive unit by far.
Excellent first round in loss
January 12, 2018
Faccento and Echo Fox came flying out of the gates, but fell down to Earth quickly, in the 3-1 loss to eUnited. The loss opened up CWL New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Faccento and Echo Fox started Round 1 Hardpoint in an excellent way. Echo Fox walked to a round win, winning 250-96. Faccento was the clear leader in the round, ending it with a whopping 35 kills. He was dominant, and his dominance paced Echo Fox. Neither he or Echo Fox as a whole would find that form for the rest of the match, however. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him post only five kills as eUnited shook off the rust to put together a strong round. This trend continued into Round 3 Capture the Flag, where a strong eUnited defense stifled any semblance of Echo Fox's offense, and Faccento had only 14 kills. Round 4 Hardpoint saw Echo Fox struggle as eUnited capped off a match win. Faccento and Echo Fox can still make noise in this tournament if they recapture their first-round performance.
Does just enough to keep his team in the game
December 17, 2017
Faccento played a solid, if inconsistent, series in a 2-3 loss to Team EnVyUs on Day 1 of the Northern Showdown.
ANALYSIS
Faccento was easily the most consistent gunner of Echo Fox, but he still wasn't able to outslay a streaky Team EnVyUs. However, that lack of slaying power from Faccento didn't matter in the long run as he was able to take Team EnVyUs all the way to a Round 5 Search & Destroy. This was thanks to some scrappy playing and some important clutches from Faccento. For example, Round 1 Hardpoint on Gibraltar was a highlight for Faccento. The game was taken to a narrow win for Echo Fox thanks to a consistent strategy of stealing spawn control from Team EnVyUs, instead of attempting to outslay their opponents. In the end, Faccento managed to clutch up on the third Turret with two kills to clutch up a win.
Wins with brain over brawn
December 9, 2017
Faccento used his intelligence to bait a win out of Team EnVyUs on Day 2 of CWL Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Playing to his team's versatility, Faccento had his team play for spawns and picks rather than straight-up firefights. The spawn strategy worked excellently in Round 1 Hardpoint where Echo Fox held a stubborn spawn position in the corner of the map. Later, in Round 2 Search & Destroy, the defensive strategy baited a battle-hungry opponent into his teammates' sights for easy pickings. But Faccento's plan culminated in a 16-minute Capture the Flag where slow, methodical pushes eventually burned Team EnVyUs out. After a stalemate brew in the second Overtime, with both teams having stolen each other's flags, Faccento picked up the game-winning kill onto flag-carrier Classic by using Gunless as bait.
