Takes control of the second half of series
July 12, 2018
Seany appeared in the late-game in a 3-1 win over compLexity Gaming on Thursday of the CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
ANALYSIS
Seany struggled this series against a streaky compLexity Gaming. Going up against the slay-heavy Dashy, there was little Seany could do in either close-range or long-range fights. However, Seany was able to find his stride early in the series to help his teammates hold spawns. For example, in Round 2 Search & Destroy Seany's long-range support was able to assist wuskin in slaying out his opponents. The smooth shots went a long way in covering both wuskin's and Zed's engagements that map. In Round 4 Hardpoint, Seany would also find his stride with his shots, slaying out compLexity Gaming in a smooth map thanks to his teammates constantly pushing lanes.
Slips against fast team
July 11, 2018
Seany struggled to make his presence felt in a 3-1 loss to eUnited on Wednesday of the CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
ANALYSIS
Seany had his hands full this series against eUnited's formation. Going up against a double rifle setup, there was little Seany could do in either close-range or long-range fights, making it difficult to hold spawns. In Round 4 Hardpoint, for example, Seany was forced to settle for scrap time during rotations, going to Hardpoints early to score easy points before being kicked out by eUnited. While this allowed Seany to keep UNILAD eSports in the game, it did little to help his teammates gain a lead. This wasn't helped by his fairly flat slaying as he was often pressured by eUnited's SMGs.
Provides a solid base for his team
July 11, 2018
Seany provided key support in a 3-2 win against Luminosity Gaming on Tuesday of the CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
ANALYSIS
As Alexx, Zed and wuskin beamed kills, Seany had all the freedom to gain map control. However, he sometimes was overeager in finding kills during tense moments. Round 1 Hardpoint and Round 2 Search & Destroy went off without a hitch, thanks to Seany holding back to controlling spawns and landing the occasional kill. But when things got hectic in Round 4 Hardpoint on London Docks, Seany abandoned his anchor control to help shore up his teammates' assault. On the third Docks Warehouse, Seany lost early hill rotations and spawns to Luminosity Gaming as he attempted to hold Main Street. This proved to be a mistake as Seany was then unable to break his enemies' spawns going into the final hill.
Lots of solid play in win
June 17, 2018
Seany had a lot of good to take away from the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports alive in the loser's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Seany had a nice start to Round 1 Hardpoint, helping keep them close with OpTic Gaming. He ended up fading as the round went on - he ended up going 30/34 with 1:23 on the objective, with the brunt of his good play coming early. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him provide support behind strong games from Zed and wuskin in the 6-3 win. Seany did the same in Round 4 Hardpoint, providing support behind strong games from Zed and wuskin. They won rather comfortably, 4-0, and did an excellent job of pushing back some strong, streak-filled pushes by OpTic. He did not have the best Round 4 Hardpoint, playing support behind Alexx while UNILAD took a 190-100 lead. They eventually blew that lead and lost the round to go to a fifth round. Round 5 Search & Destroy was the Seany and Alexx show - the two of them dominated and were the biggest reasons why they were able to get through OpTic Gaming to win game eleven. Seany got the final kill in that game to win it.
Strong Hardpoints in win
March 31, 2018
Seany came up large in the Hardpoints of the 3-2 win over Enigma6 on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
Seany had himself a very good time in both Hardpoint rounds. He topped the 30 kill mark in both Round 1 and Round 4 Hardpoint and was a key part of both wins. He did not start off the first round well and really limped out of the gate as his teammates were on their game. He woke up his play around half way through, when the slaying of UNILAD just became too much for Enigma6. His emergence as a strong slayer in the round helped fuel that push. He had a similar showing in the fourth round. He started a little slow but picked it up to be a strong third man behind Wuskin and Skrapz. Seany ended up getting the final Hardpoint seconds to force a Round 5 Search & Destroy. The rest of his performance was behind his Hardpoint showings, however. He was invisible in both Round 2 Search & Destroy -- a 6-2 loss -- and Round 5 Search & Destroy, even during the five-game win streak after trailing 5-1. He limped to a 14/22 KD in Round 3 Capture the Flag, despite a nice first half of that round. Overall, Seany was a big part of the win, despite his struggles in some rounds.
Struggled mightily in loss
March 21, 2018
Seany struggled for almost all of the 3-1 loss to FaZe Clan on Day 1 of Week 4 of CWL Global Pro League, Stage 1.
ANALYSIS
Seany really lagged behind the rest of the field, and for the most part cost UNILAD sports a chance to really make a run at beating FaZe Clan. His biggest moment came late in Round 3 Capture the Flag, when he found a perfect hiding spot, and provided excellent defense as the clock was ticking to zero. Those couple of kills were key to keeping UNILAD alive in the match. However, outside of that, he was wildly outslayed by FaZe Clan, failing to finish above a 1.00 KD in any round, and was mostly a non-factor.
Slays with his SMG
March 15, 2018
Seany steadied his aim to take a 3-1 win over Team EnVyUs on Thursday of the CWL Global Pro League, Division B.
ANALYSIS
Seany, much like Moose, rebounded their SMG game to tear through Team EnVyUs. While generally sticking to support, he played a much more aggressive game that put constant pressure on their opponents' defenses. And because of Team EnVyUs' weak SMGs this series, Seany was able to score important kills that wrecked EnVyUs' spawns. For example, in Round 1 Hardpoint Seany landed a double kill at the start of the map that pushed Team EnVyUs' spawns past Barrel Warehouse. Those few seconds of walking allowed UNILAD to set up for defenses and rotations very early in the game.
Finds momentum in the late game
March 15, 2018
Seany struggled to slay out in an SMG-heavy game in a 3-2 win over Splyce on Wednesday of the CWL Pro League, Division B.
ANALYSIS
Seany couldn't slay out for his teammates until the tail-end of the series as most of the series focused on SMGs. Seany, normally an AR player, struggled to adjust to the SMGs until the tail end of the series. Mostly, he struggled to make much impact against Splyce as his shots failed to find lay down any pressures, especially in respawn rounds. In the last set of rotations in Round 4 Hardpoint, Seany did begin to string kills together with Skrapz, finally finding the right role by taking a step back from the fight and securing kills from range.
Ultimately drags his team down
February 16, 2018
Seany's consistently negative KD totals certainly didn't help UNILAD in their 3-2 loss to the Evil Geniuses on Day 5 of the CWL Pro League Division B.
ANALYSIS
UNILAD's series against the Evil Geniuses was definitely not a good one for Seany. He started Round 1 Hardpoint with the worst KD of his team at 22/26, despite UNILAD claiming that round. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Seany go double-negative in KD, only tallying a 4/8 KD to his name. Round 3 Capture the Flag did see some signs of life from Seany in the form of a flag capture he earned, but that was offset by his lackluster KD of 17/30. Seany picked up the pace a bit in Round 4 Hardpoint, but he still went negative in KD with 32/37 and the least hardpoint control time of his team at 37 seconds. Seany ultimately ended the series as mediocre as he started in Round 5 Search & Destroy, with a paltry 4/9 KD, becoming a liability for UNILAD in this loss.
Fades in a noisy victory
February 15, 2018
Seany was quiet in a massive 3-2 win over eUnited on Day 6 of the CWL Pro League, Division B.
ANALYSIS
Unlike Day 4 or Day 5, Seany didn't make a large impact on the game. This is surprising as he went up against a limping eUnited, a team that was ripe for Seany's snappy aim. This resulted in an uneven series for Unilad, as Skrapz and wuskin had to pick up the slaying pace. Round 4 Hardpoint on Sainte Marie Du Mont was the best showcase of Seany's performance. He played decently in the early game, slaying and staggering eUnited early in the round, but stumbled in the late game. After eUnited made a comeback, Seany struggled to give his team consistent spawns, forcing Unilad to trickle into a hectic fight for the final points that they ultimately lost.
Barely survives a tough series
February 8, 2018
Seany limped through a 1-3 loss to Team EnVyUs on Day 3 of the CWL Pro League Stage 1, Division B.
ANALYSIS
Seany struggled to make much difference this series. The aggressive and laser-like aim of Team EnVyUs melted Seany, a player that relies on his teammates to help secure fights. So on top of his supporting role, Seany couldn't give his team what they needed to win this series. While he could hold spawns, he couldn't win fights, which something much more significant against a team like Team EnVyUS.
Free Agent
Teaming with Skrapz and wuskin
September 18, 2017
Seany will be teaming with Skrapz, wuskin and a mysterious fourth player to begin the new competitive season.
ANALYSIS
The former Red Reserve slayer seems to have fallen into a cushy situation, with both Skrapz and wuskin coming into their own during the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare season. Given Seany's experience and an expected maturation from the the twins, this lineup already feels like it could be in contention regionally, with a chance to make additional noise internationally depending on who the mysterious fourth player is.
Announces free agency
September 1, 2017
Seany has announced his free agency ahead of Call of Duty: World War II.
ANALYSIS
The list of former Red Reserve players continues to grow, with the team losing both Rated and Urban in the past week. It's been slow going over in Europe compared to the fast-paced action of the North America Rostermania, but with three former Red Reserve members now in the pool, there's a chance roster movement across the seas could start to pick up.
Mostly average in loss
July 16, 2017
Seany was more average than anything else in the sweep defeat to eUnited on Day 3 of Group Yellow.
ANALYSIS
Seany hardly moved the needle in either direction in this match up. Round 1 Hardpoint was squarely in the hands of eUnited, with Red Reserve struggling to do much of anything. They lost 250-143, a score that accurately depicts the flow of the round. Seany went 19/19, with a solid 1:25 on the objective. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Urban run the offense, with everyone else, Seany included, playing off of him. Round 3 Uplink saw Seany go 27/29, with one point, in the heartbreaking loss. They were up 6-3 with less than a minute left, and lost 8-6.
Poor end in loss
July 16, 2017
Seany struggled at the end of a 3-1 loss to Splyce on Day 2 of Group Yellow.
ANALYSIS
Round 1 Hardpoint saw Red Reserve blow an early lead to lose 250-211. Seany slayed rather well, going 30/32, but did not do much on the objective, notching only 34 seconds there. He was solid, but Splyce had a great showing to win the round. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Joee go off, and the rest of the team, including Seany, play off him. He was solid in support in the ten game win. Round 3 Uplink saw Red Reserve claw back into the round after a 6-2 deficit. They ended up losing with a last-minute dunk. Seany was average in the round, going 22/24 with two points. Round 4 Hardpoint saw Joee and Rated play well, but Seany and Urban dropped the ball in a back and forth 250-224 loss. Seany had 53 seconds on the objective, but only 17 kills against 24 deaths in the round -- he struggled to run with Splyce, and it was a big reason why they lost another close round, losing the match.
