Balances an aggressive game
July 12, 2018
wuskin supported Zed's slaying in a 3-1 win over compLexity Gaming on Thursday of the CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
Both wuskin and Zed were able to pressure compLexity Gaming with their SMGs, leading to some suprisingly off-balanced rounds. While wuskin was able to conquer Round 1 Hardpoint, Round 2 Search & Destroy and Round 4 Hardpoint, he struggled in Round 3 Capture the Flag. This was largely because he was unable to slay out against a fiery compLexity Gaming. This resulted in an awkward moment where wuskin would fail to return to flag due to fall damage, dying as he attempted to dive a flag due to an awkward gunfight. However, wuksin was able to quickly rebound in Round 4 Hardpoint as his SMGs were easily able to pressure lanes.
Attempts to overpower eUnited
July 11, 2018
wuskin struggled to push lanes in a 3-1 loss to eUnited on Wednesday of the CWL Global Pro League Stage 2.
eUnited had a formidable defense that wuskin struggled to find holes in. This was partly due to his struggles trying to get past eUnited's SMG players, Prestinni and Felony. The solid defense and slaying forced wuskin to play for spawns, such as in Round 1 Hardpoint, and Round 2 Search & Destroy, where he tried to play off-angles and flanks. In Round 1 Hardpoint, this meant wuskin attempted to push rotations early on, but he was only able to win them in the first set of rotations. Round 2 Search & Destroy was a narrow win, thanks mostly to some off-angle early into the round.
Provides openings for his teammates
July 11, 2018
wuskin put pressure onto Luminosity Gaming in a 3-2 win on Tuesday of the CWL Global Pro Leauge Stage 2.
UNILAD eSports only continue to improve thanks to wuskin's slaying and coordination. Team tactics were key this series as Luminosity Gaming attempted to slay their way to victory. This meant that wuskin needed to lockdown lanes and spawns for his team while also pressuring the opponent. Luckily, wuskin was able to do both in Round 1 Hardpoint and Round 4 Hardpoint. Round 1 Hardpoint saw wuskin constantly pressure the enemy spawns with his tight SMG plays. However, Round 4 Hardpoint saw wuskin slip up in the final moments as Luminosity Gaming won control of spawns.
Solid performance in win
June 17, 2018
wuskin played very well in the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports alive in the loser's bracket.
wuskin did a lot of good in this match, and that start in Round 1 Hardpoint. OpTic won the round 250-203, but wuskin put together a strong performance in the losing effort. He was one of their leaders as they hit the 100-point mark, helping keep pace with a solid game from OpTic. While he ended up fading a bit, he still went 28/26 with 1:07 on the objective in the loss. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him lead his team again, although this time they pulled out a 6-3 win. Round 3 Capture the Flag was the most lopsided round of the match, as UNILAD coasted to a 4-0 win. They fought back quite a few aggressive pushes by OpTic Gaming, but they handled each and every one of them. wuskin was excellent in this one, netting 20 kills, helping keep their lead intact. He did, however, falter in the final two rounds, limping in both Round 4 Hardpoint (a loss) and Round 5 Search & Destroy (a win).
Most consistent performer in win
March 31, 2018
wuskin was UNILAD's most consistent performer in the 3-2 win over Enigma6 on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
While his teammates had some down rounds in this win, wuskin did not suffer that fate. Even in UNILAD's two losses, wuskin put together solid performances. Round 2 Search & Destroy, the first of those losses, saw him be the only one to put a dent in the Enigma6 machine. Round 3 Capture the FLag saw him put together a strong 22/13 KD, playing well even when Enigma6 dominated the second half. In their three round wins, he was one of the driving forces, leading them in Round 1 Hardpoint and Round 4 Hardpoint, as well as being one of the big pieces of the comeback in Round 5 Search & Destroy, winning 6-5 after being down 5-1.
Solid middle rounds in loss
March 21, 2018
wuskin did his work in round two and round three of the 3-1 loss to FaZe Clan on Day 1 of Week 4 of CWL Global Pro League, Stage 1.
wuskin had two mediocre bookend rounds to this loss. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him get lost in the shuffle. He was not terrible, going 23/28 with 1:17 on the objective, but he was not good enough to impact a strong FaZe performance. He was an even worse slayer in Round 4 Hardpoint, going 13/26, though he made up for in with 1:51 on the objective. He needed to have better slaying showings in each round in order to topple FaZe Clan, however. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him get five kills through seven games. That sounds bad, but he led his team in kills in the 6-1 loss. He did all he could, but FaZe Clan outplayed the rest of his team. He was the most consistent member of UNILAD in their only win, Round 3 Capture the Flag. He was good in the first half (13/8) and held the only positive KD for UNILAD in it. He continued to slay well, finishing 20/16, joint leading the lobby and leading the team.
Bullies a weak Team EnVyUs
March 15, 2018
wuskin slayed out in a 3-1 win over Team EnVyUs on Thursday of the CWL Global Pro League, Division B.
Team EnVyUs had a slow slaying game and wuskin took complete advantage of that weakness. Running an SMG, wuskin was easily able to engage his opponents frontline and drop kills. The domination was best seen in Round 3 Capture the Flag and in Round 4 Hardpoint. In Round 3 Capture the Flag, wuskin dropped a massive 28/9 KD that snowballed a single flag capture into six thanks to his ability to pin Team EnVyUs in their spawns. Similarly, wuskin scored a 35/24 KD in Round 4 Hardpoint, a late-game score that stopped a small comeback from Team EnVyUs.
Sets his team up for success
March 15, 2018
Wuskin gave a steady performance in an inconsistent 3-2 win over Splyce on Wednesday of the CWL Pro League, Division B.
The SMG meta continues to reward players like wuskin who can juggle scouting and slaying to secure their team the win. He didn't have an impressive KD this series, but UNILAD's strength lies in its teamwork. Wuskin worked with his twin brother, Skrapz, to chain together kills until Skrapz utterly dominated the map with Scorestreaks. This involved wuskin scouting out the map for his twin, peppering shots and calling out targets for Skrapz to beam down.
Brings sound and fury but not victory
February 16, 2018
wuskin claimed extraordinary KD totals against Evil Geniuses during UNILAD's series on Day 5 of the CWL Pro League Division B, but it still wasn't enough to stop an eleventh-hour clutch from the opposition as they lost 3-2.
You can't say that wuskin wasn't slaying in this series, but it still wasn't enough to prevent Evil Geniuses' last-minute rally. He didn't have the most impressive start in Round 1 Hardpoint, going barely negative in KD with 19/20, but he did get the most hardpoint control time of his team at 2:14, vital in UNILAD's victory that round. The first of wuskin's extraordinary KD totals was in Round 2 Search & Destroy, where he almost went double-positive with a KD total of 10/6. He then went on to notch the best KD of his team during Round 3 Capture the Flag at a solid 26/19, scoring a flag capture to boot. Round 4 Hardpoint saw another respectable performance from wuskin, as he went positive again at 27/23 and the second-most hardpoint control time of his team at 1:33. Unfortunately, despite wuskin claiming another impressive KD of 11/8 in Round 5 Search & Destroy, the Evil Geniuses snatched victory from his jaws of defeat, leaving an exploding bomb in his face during the tight Game 10.
Slays an American giant
February 15, 2018
wuskin delivered uneven slaying in a division changing 3-2 win over eUnited on Day 6 of the CWL Pro League, Division B.
wuskin went toe to toe with eUnited and won, but it wasn't a clean win. wuskin would either dominate or limp through maps while continually whiffing Scorestreaks. His best map was easily Round 1 Hardpoint and Round 5 Search & Destroy where he beamed eUnited. On both of these maps eUnited played extraordinarily slow, which wuskin exploited in spades to bait kills for Scorestreaks. However, his Scorestreak usage was subpar at best. None of his Scorestreaks found substantial impact due mainly to mistiming them. For example, in Game 7 of Round 5 Search & Destroy, both his Fighter Pilot and Glide Bomb found no kills because eUnited was already under cover.
Struggles to land his shots
February 8, 2018
Wuskin delivered a lackluster performance n a hectic 1-3 loss to Tema EnVyUs on Day 3 of the CWL Pro League Stage 1, Division B.
wuskin, much like Seany, just couldn't keep up the scrappy Americans in Team EnVyUs. However, wuskin was extremely successful stalling Team EnVyUs. The strategy didn't work in the long term, but it did give Unilad something to work with. This was helpful in Round 4 Hardpoint, where wuskin was able to stall for his team's spawns on the second Main Street Hardpoint, but his consistently negative KD didn't allow him to win many fights, even with his teammates.
Leaving Fnatic
September 18, 2017
wuskin will no longer team with Fnatic and is expected to field a new lineup with his brother, Skrapz, to begin the new competitive season.
wuskin was one of a handful of rookies to explode onto the competitive scene, helping lead Fnatic to a respectable finish at the 2017 Call of Duty World Championships. While Skrapz remains mum on who the final member of the new team will be, a lineup of Skrapz, wuskin and Seany should already put the roster in elite company in Europe, with another strong season in international competition certainly in the cards should the team perform up to expectations in the new "boots on the ground" game.
Cripples himself in tough series
August 12, 2017
wuskin drops out of the 2017 CWL Championships in a 3-0 loss to Luminosity Gaming on Day 3.
wuskin just couldn't surmount the massive uphill battle that Luminosity Gaming set up for them. While wuskin did have some good plays, it was largely a stomp. Round 1 Hardpoint on Scorch did see Fnatic have a good start until the first Turbine. wuskin broke Luminosity Gaming's hold early on Turbine, but Fnatic didn't get spawn control and were swiftly swept out as Luminosity Gaming spawned back in. Fnatic's surprising lack of map control is what doomed the series for the Europeans.
Quiet in loss
August 11, 2017
wuskin did not have his best game in the 3-1 loss to Fnatic on Day 3 of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship. The loss put Fnatic in the Loser's Bracket.
wuskin did not bring his A game in this match, even in their lone round win (Round 1 Hardpoint). wuskin went 17/23 in their winning effort, and added just 33 seconds on the objective. He lagged behind his teammates, despite the rather comfortable lead for most of the round; Allegiance made a strong push late to take it, but did not get there. Round 2 Search & Destroy was a blowout, as Fnatic only managed to win one game. They were outclassed, and wuskin was no exception to that. He fared a bit better in Round 3 Uplink, going 23/23, though the team still lost rather handily, 9-3. Round 4 Hardpoint was an awful performance by Fnatic. They lost 250-103, and never was close to the lead. wuskin had 41 seconds on the hill and went 17/25 -- it was a poor performance in a poor round.
Solid in Group F win
August 10, 2017
wuskin played a key role in the 3-1 win over Str8 Rippin on Day 2 of the 2017 Call of Duty World Championship. The win placed them at the top of Group F, and puts them in the playoffs tomorrow.
Round 1 Hardpoint was rather tough for Fnatic. They played solidly, but Str8 Rippin played very well and won the round after a late comeback attempt. wuskin was good throughout, going 25/21, with 1:09 on the objective in the round -- he just did not get much support from his teammates. Round 2 Search & Destroy was the start of Fnatic's run of three straight round wins. He had the final kill in Game 3, and Game 4; those two tied up the score after they dropped the first two games. He also had the final kill in Game 10 to clinch the round for Fnatic. He was excellent in the round. He put in a rather vanilla performance in Round 3 Uplink, going 20/21 with zero points in the 6-2 win. Fnatic focused on defense, and a string of iffy Str8 Rippin offense sequences furthered their cause. Round 4 Hardpoint saw wuskin slay averagely, going 19/20, but he had a whopping 1:55 on the objective. He helped pull his team back from a 148-120 deficit to win the round, and the match.
