Some inconsistencies in win
June 17, 2018
Replays did more good than bad, but suffered from some inconsistency in the 3-2 win over Ghost Gaming on Day 2 of CWL Anaheim, securing FaZe Clan a spot in the winner's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Replays had a nice start to Round 1 Hardpoint, but he faltered off as the round went on - specifically in the slaying department. He finished the round with 1:37 on the objective, but had just a 17/19 KD in the round. He helped get them out in front early, but as Ghost Gaming came back into it - and eventually ran away with it - he struggled to slay. He was dominant in Round 2 Search & Destroy, especially in the early goings of the 6-1 win. Priestah, Attach and Replays really carried the load for FaZe in the round. He cratered in their 1-0 Round 3 Capture the Flag loss, a round that saw the gap be much greater than the 1-0 score. They were completely outslayed, and the offense never was able to get off the ground. Replays went 13/17 in the round. Replays struggled for the early portion of the win, but heated up as FaZe Clan were able to take the lead, and eventually force a fifth round. Round 5 Search & Destroy saw him notch double-digit kills in the 6-2 round win, as they secured their spot in the winner's bracket.
Overcame slow start in close win
June 17, 2018
Priestah did not have the best start, but played well overall in the 3-2 win over Ghost Gaming on Day 2 of CWL Anaheim, securing their spot in the winner's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Priestah did not have the best start to this match, as he went just 19/27 in their Round 1 Hardpoint loss. FaZe led comfortably for a large portion of the match, but Ghost Gaming eventually came back and their strong depth just overran FaZe, handing FaZe a round loss. Round 2 Search & Destroy was much better for Priestah, as he was a part of the three-headed attack alongside Replays and Attach that carried the offense for FaZe Clan. Round 3 Capture the Flag was akin to his first round performance, as he really struggled under the strong slaying performance from Ghost Gaming. He went 11/24, as FaZe Clan and Priestah were totally flummoxed by Ghost Gaming. They could not muster any offense in the 1-0 loss. Round 4 Hardpoint was his best respawn round by a mile, as he went 34/27 with 1:15 on the objective. He carried the offense early on but had absolutely no help from his teammates. He ended up keeping the door open for them, and FaZe Clan ran away with the round once his teammates woke up. Round 5 Search & Destroy was similar to the other Search & Destroy round - he, Replays and Attach did most of the work in the 6-2 win.
Consistent force in close win
June 17, 2018
Attach was a model of consistency in the 3-2 win over Ghost Gaming on Day 2 of CWL Anaheim, securing their spot in the winner's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Attach was pretty consistent in this win, even putting together solid performances in their losses. Round 1 Hardpoint was one of those losses, and he led his team in kills (26) and was the only member of FaZe Clan to have a positive KD ratio. He was good from the get-go, getting them out on the right foot and stayed competitive even as Ghost Gaming came back and ran away with the win. Round 3 Capture the Flag was their other loss, and he was, again, their best player in that round. His 18 kills led the team, and he (again) was the only player on the team to have a positive KD in the round. Overall, the team got outslayed to such a degree that the 1-0 lead by Ghost Gaming proved insurmountable - they simply could not get any semblance of an offense going. Round 2 Search & Destroy was their first win, and Attach was huge in it. He had double-digit kills and came up huge in the last two games. He had the final kill in Game 6, and an ace in Game 7 (which included two kills from his Fighter Pilot), securing the 6-1 win. Round 4 Hardpoint saw him struggle in the early portion of the round, but he finished incredibly strong as FaZe Clan came back and ran away with the round. He notched 30 kills and 1:33 on the objective in the round. Attach had a big part of the 6-2 Round 5 Search & Destroy win, as he, Replays, and Priestah formed a three-man army that was unstoppable.
Three good, one bad, rounds in loss
June 16, 2018
ZooMa was good for three of the four rounds of the 3-1 loss to Red Reserve on Day 1 of CWL Anaheim.
ANALYSIS
ZooMa did a lot of good in this match despite it being a losing effort. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him be a key part of the comeback as Red Reserve sat at the 209 mark, and even got them within striking distance of a win (though they could not pull out a victory). He went 33/30 with 41 seconds in the round. Round 2 Search & Destroy was a similarly close round, as they lost in 11 games. ZooMa was a key reason why it even got there, as he had double-digit kills and four first bloods. Without him giving FaZe Clan map control on multiple occasions, they may have fallen before game eleven. Round 3 Capture the Flag was their sole round win, and ZooMa's slaying helped keep them alive. His 24 kills led the lobby, and he was the main reason why Red Reserve's offense had problems breaking through the FaZe Clan defenses in the 3-2 win. He ran out of gas in Round 4 Hardpoint, however, especially after Zer0 went on his run. He went 27/40, putting a sour end on a good match for ZooMa (on an individual level).
Hangs back in support role in loss
June 16, 2018
Replays stayed in a support role in each round of the 3-1 loss to Red Reserve on Day 1 of CWL Anaheim.
ANALYSIS
Replays stayed in a support role for the majority of this match. Round 1 Hardpoint is a perfect example of his support-based performance, as he had an uninspiring KD (23/25) but notched an impressive 2:05 on the objective. Staying back and lapping up Hardpoint time was his role, and he played it well - they just could not complete their comeback and lost a close round. He was similar in Round 2 Search & Destroy, playing a support role behind leading performances from ZooMa and Attach. Again, they would barely lose the round, losing 6-5 after coming back from a 5-2 deficit. He had the final kill in Games 8 and 9, helping keep them alive. His best all-around round was Round 3 Capture the Flag, as he went 18/13 and had the game-winning flag cap in the second half. Round 4 Hardpoint saw him play similarly to Round 1 Hardpoint opting for Hardpoint time (1:27) than kills (25/30). He did his job well, but Red Reserve proved to be too much yet again.
