UNILAD Esports

Versatile in win
June 17, 2018
Zed switched between a leader and a support player in the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports in the loser's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Zed had a solid Round 1 Hardpoint, though he died quite a bit against the strong OpTic Gaming performance. He went 33/33 in the round with 1:26 on the objective. It was a pretty close round, as they lost 250-203, and were right in it until the very end. Round 2 Search & Destroy was a rather easy win for UNILAD, and Zed and wuskin did the heavy lifting for UNILAD. Round 3 Capture the Flag saw wuskin and Zed lead the pack yet again, as they led a staunch defense and a solid offense to a 4-0 lead. They pushed back quite a few pushes from OpTic and kept their record clean. Round 4 Hardpoint saw UNILAD blow 139-64 and 190-100 leads to end up losing. Zed got them a late lead with some big kills, but OpTic came right back to erase that. Round 5 Search & Destroy was a tense 6-5 win, but Zed struggled a decent amount. He had the final kill in the first game, but played support to Seany and Alexx.
Solid performance in win

wuskin played very well in the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports alive in the loser's bracket.
ANALYSIS
wuskin did a lot of good in this match, and that start in Round 1 Hardpoint. OpTic won the round 250-203, but wuskin put together a strong performance in the losing effort. He was one of their leaders as they hit the 100-point mark, helping keep pace with a solid game from OpTic. While he ended up fading a bit, he still went 28/26 with 1:07 on the objective in the loss. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him lead his team again, although this time they pulled out a 6-3 win. Round 3 Capture the Flag was the most lopsided round of the match, as UNILAD coasted to a 4-0 win. They fought back quite a few aggressive pushes by OpTic Gaming, but they handled each and every one of them. wuskin was excellent in this one, netting 20 kills, helping keep their lead intact. He did, however, falter in the final two rounds, limping in both Round 4 Hardpoint (a loss) and Round 5 Search & Destroy (a win).
Lots of solid play in win

Seany had a lot of good to take away from the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports alive in the loser's bracket.
ANALYSIS
Seany had a nice start to Round 1 Hardpoint, helping keep them close with OpTic Gaming. He ended up fading as the round went on - he ended up going 30/34 with 1:23 on the objective, with the brunt of his good play coming early. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw him provide support behind strong games from Zed and wuskin in the 6-3 win. Seany did the same in Round 4 Hardpoint, providing support behind strong games from Zed and wuskin. They won rather comfortably, 4-0, and did an excellent job of pushing back some strong, streak-filled pushes by OpTic. He did not have the best Round 4 Hardpoint, playing support behind Alexx while UNILAD took a 190-100 lead. They eventually blew that lead and lost the round to go to a fifth round. Round 5 Search & Destroy was the Seany and Alexx show - the two of them dominated and were the biggest reasons why they were able to get through OpTic Gaming to win game eleven. Seany got the final kill in that game to win it.
Excellent final two rounds in close win

Alexx shined brightly in the 3-2 win over OpTic Gaming on Day 3 of CWL Anaheim, keeping UNILAD Esports alive in the tournament.
ANALYSIS
Alexx had a rather slow start to this one, but his last two rounds more than made up for it. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him slide into a support role behind strong games from wuskin and Seany - especially in the early portion of the round. The all ended up fading a bit as OpTic Gaming went off to secure a 250-203 win. He went 32/35 in the round. Round 2 Search & Destroy and Round 3 Capture the Flag were very similar rounds for Alexx and UNILAD - they won both rounds rather easily (6-3 in Round 2 Search & Destroy and 4-0 Capture the Flag), and Alexx was a solid support player behind wuskin and Zed in both rounds. Round 4 Hardpoint was where Alexx broke out. He was a monster, and basically single-handedly led them to a 190-100 lead. They would blow that lead, but Alexx was stellar in the loss. He went 33/27 in the round, with a minute on the objective. Round 5 Search & Destroy saw him and Seany dominate and led UNILAD to a 6-5 win and an upset victory. Alexx hit double digit kills in the final round.
Teaming with UNILAD Esports
May 14, 2018
Zed is listed as a part of UNILAD Esports according to MLG.com's roster page.
ANALYSIS
While the official website might have spoiled the announcement, it was obvious UNILAD Esports would need to make some sort of roster change after skrapz joined Red Reserve over the break. Zed had played for Cyclone throughout the previous two Open events, finishing in 13th-16th place at CWL Birmingham and CWL Seattle.
