Some good spots in loss
March 31, 2018
Zed had some good moments in the 3-0 loss to Echo Fox on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
Zed was their best player for some good stretches of this match, namely Round 1 Hardpoint and the first half of Round 3 Capture the Flag. The first round saw him carry their offense early on and even paced them to a nice lead as the game got on. They certainly kept the first round rather close, and it was in large part due to Zed. He had a good first half in Round 3 Capture the Flag, but his second-half performance was poor -- he finished 14/23, really limping to the finish line. Round 2 Search & Destroy was tough for every member of Cyclone. Aqua had a ridiculous 16 kills in the round, and they did not have an answer for him.
Struggles in loss
March 31, 2018
QwiKeR could not get into the swing of things in the sweep loss to Echo Fox on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
QwiKeR could never get into this match. While he had one of the final kills in Round 2 Search & Destroy (Game 7), and had 21 kills in Round 1 Hardpoint, he saw his fair share of struggles overall. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him die 32 times, as he could not find a way to string his kills together. The second round saw all of Cyclone fall to an incredible 16 kill performance from Aqua. He got the team's only flag cap in Round 3 Capture the Flag but struggled to slay yet again, finishing 16/23. Overall, the slaying was just not there for him, and Echo Fox were in excellent form.
Fights hard late in loss
March 31, 2018
Peatie and the rest of Cyclone struggled in the sweep loss to Echo Fox on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
Peatie did some good things in both respawn rounds, though not in the Search & Destroy round. His Round 2 Search & Destroy performance left a lot to be desired, mostly because Aqua went on a ridiculous 16 kill tear and no one on Cyclone could do a thing about it, Peatie included. In Round 1 Hardpoint, he mustered together 23 kills, but his 27 deaths show how tough the sledding was once Echo Fox got on a roll. He was easily their best player in Round 3 Capture the Flag, leading them in kills with 20. While he did some good things, especially in the second half, Echo Fox won the round rather easily.
Struggles to break through
March 31, 2018
Braaain struggled to get consistency in the 3-0 loss to Echo Fox on Day 2 of the CWL Birmingham Open.
ANALYSIS
Braaain was never able to fully break through Echo Fox in this loss. Round 1 Hardpoint saw him do some good things, but his 26/27 KD showed how he struggled to consistently slay with Echo Fox. That was his best round, however. Round 2 Search & Destroy saw Cyclone have virtually no chance, as Aqua had an astonishing 16 kills. Braain got the final kill in Game 1 but did not do much after. He managed a 13/22 KD in Round 3 Capture the Flag, limping to the end of a tough loss.
