NTC member, felps, has confirmed the addition of chelo along with coach Apoka to the active roster.
The NTC member welcomes the duo in a much-anticipated wait as the team has been looking for a replacement after parting ways with twin brothers HEN1 and LUCAS1 last month. chelo joined Luminosity last summer after his time in paiN prove his worth in the next level of competition. Despite the results since joining Luminosity, chelo continued to stay consistent, especially through the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals. chelo will debut for NTC next week as the team will take part in the South American closed qualifier for ESL One Belo Horizonte, set to start April 24 to May 9.

The 19-year-old is a young notable name out of Brazil, who joined Luminosity back in July 2017, recorded his best performance offline throughout the remainder of the year, turning heads through the competitive scene. The addition comes after NTC have been in search for two new players, which began last month when twins LUCAS1 and HEN1 parted ways with the team. Now, NTC will have a complete roster with the addition of chelo and will also bring on-board the team's coach, Apoka. It is unclear if the two members will link up with the remainder of the team in Germany, as the team will be competing in the South American closed qualifier for ESL One Belo Horizonte.
Defense short on the hold

chelo posted a 25/23 KD on Friday in the 16-12 loss to Fnatic at the ECS Season 4 Finals.
chelo and the team contested early on against Fnatic on Cobblestone by getting past the defense on the B-bombsite. chelo contributed to the contested lead to keep Fnatic insight, however, the defense finally broke the economy, giving chelo a late round loss. Going into the second half down 10-5, chelo started slowly on the defense but finally held down the fort on the B-bombsite to help generate some rounds. Although the late rounds began to swing chelo's way, Fnatic was too tough to tame as the Swedes took the 16-12 win.

chelo posted a 45/33 KD on Tuesday in a 25-23 win over HellRaisers in the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals.
chelo kicked off the tournament with a huge performance on the offense of Cache to control the map and the economics with an 11-0 lead. Although, HellRaisers contested late and continued to contest in the second half to slowly come back and take the lead away from chelo. chelo struggled in the second half to hold off the offense of HellRaisers as well as his attempt at the defensive retakes. HellRaisers forced overtime where chelo remained composed to help his team stay alive through two overtime rounds. Although in the third overtime round, chelo finally closed the map with a quad kill entry into the A-bombsite to secure the 25-23 win, posting a team-leading 105.8 ADR.
Shining light in rough loss

chelo put together a 23/19 KD in Luminosity Gaming's loss against Astralis on Day 1 of the ESL Pro League Finals.
If it weren't for chelo, the team wouldn't have even gotten close to a win here against the Danes of Astralis. Even with his help, they mustered just 11 rounds in a 16-11 loss where they started out up 10-7. Still, chelo is showing himself off as a bright light on this somewhat muddle team, as was especially on display in his solo ace to end the first half with a 9-6 lead.
