Sad series for TNC's carry
June 4, 2018
Raven started out strong but crumbled in Game 2 of a 2-0 loss to Team Liquid at the China Supermajor. He finished with an overall KDA of 9/7/11.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Lycan in Game 1. He had a good game but couldn't do enough damage to Liquid on his own to carry the rest of TNC. His power was very spiky, centered around his Shapeshift cooldowns. When it was up he could fight anyone on Liquid, but in human form Raven was forced to play scared and retreat. He finished with a 7/2/9 KDA. In Game 2 Raven got crushed on Death Prophet. He was never able to get any momentum, losing out in lane and struggling to deal damage in fights. He finished with a 2/5/2 KDA.
Dominates Evil Geniuses in a group stage win
June 2, 2018
Raven finished with a 36/10/38 overall KDA in a commanding 2-0 win vs Evil Geniuses at the China Supermajor.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Raven played an excellent Gyrocopter. He did a great job keeping himself alive in fights despite giving away a few pickoffs over the course of the game. He was almost always able to get off tons of damage in fights, giving TNC a much-needed edge in a chaotic game. He finished with a 21/5/25 KDA. Raven played well again in Game 2, on Luna this time. His positioning in fights was once again very good, letting him unload his full arsenal of damage before being brought down if he did die. He did a great job living in late-game fights, which allowed TNC to actually follow up fights by taking objectives. He finished with a 15/5/13 KDA.
Greedy play punished by opponents
May 16, 2018
Raven couldn't really help TNC in their loss against Mineski at MDL Changsha. The carry finished with a KDA of 9/6/8.
ANALYSIS
Raven's Morphling started out struggling against iceiceice's Doom. He wasn't playing smart with his Agility and Strength balance. Raven's greediness with his Agility was often punished by Mineski with iceiceice and ninjaboogie's Bane. He finally got his Linken's Sphere at the 21-minute mark, but it was already too late for Mineski. In Game 2, his Razor had a good enough early game finding kills for his team. But his itemization as his team's best Tinker hunter came a bit too late. TNC started to swing it around after his 41-minute Blink Dagger as he easily closed onto the Tinker, but Mineski were already far too ahead at that point.
Erratic performance in draw
May 14, 2018
Raven was erratic at best in TNC's draw against Newbee in MDL Changsha. The carry finished with a KDA of 15/6/18.
ANALYSIS
Raven started perfectly with his Lifestealer in Game 1. His free lane early on allowed him to get an Armlet of Mordiggian and Phase Boots at the 10-minute mark. With the help of Tims and Armel, he made the map his own as he was killing Newbee heroes left and right on the way to 12 kills and no deaths. But in Game 2, Raven collapsed in the worst way possible. His Phantom Lancer found good farm early on and had Power Treads and Diffusal Blade to show by the 15-minute mark. But Raven's decision making with his rotation in the game turned out very poorly as his six deaths really hurt his chances.
Couldn't carry TNC to the important victory
March 6, 2018
Raven was an incredible force for TNC as they fall short against Vici Gaming Thunder at the Bucharest Major. The carry finished with a KDA of 9/3/5.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Juggernaut in the only match of the series. He was uncontested in the laning phase by Yang's Underlord. He farmed himself Phase Boots, Ring of Aquila, and Battle Fury at the 16-minute mark. He quickly accumulated an Unstoppable streak but as the game progressed he was forced to buy more defensive items than damage items. This greatly affected his contribution to TNC's cause as they faded in the late game against VGJ.Thunder.
Odd picks for TNC carry fail to work
January 25, 2018
Raven crashed and burned against Evil Geniuses in ESL One Genting. The Filipino carry finished with a KDA of 8/10/20.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Weaver in the first game of the series. Raved found a lot of farm from the early point in the game and opted to make a Hurricane Pike as one of his first items. The utility item pick up proved to be the wrong decision for Raven, as he was hard pressed to find kills at a crucial part of the game. In Game 2, Raven played Razor in the offlane. His 1-vs-1 matchup went well against SumaiL's Omniknight, but he quickly fell off since he was leading ganks and he often died first in engagements.
Excellent game not enough
December 8, 2017
Raven was the lone bright spark for TNC in their defeat against OG in MDL Macau. The carry finished with a KDA of 17/3/17.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Dragon Knight in the safe lane for the only game of the series. He had an easy time laning against s4's Puck in their match up. He farmed an 11-minute Armlet of Mordiggian and 17-minute Blink Dagger and just started fighting. Raven found 17 kills by the end of the game but it still wasn't enough for TNC.
Shrugs off rough start
December 8, 2017
Raven bounced back from a rough early game to carry TNC to a win over Infamous in MDL Macau. The carry finished with a KDA of 11/5/17.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Terrorblade in the lone game of the series. He was contested efficiently by Stinger in the early game. He stepped up in the late game as he made sure his Sunders and Reflections were on point against Kotaro Hayama's Anti-Mage. His 17,600 tower damage in the game was the highest, as he made sure Infamous' base was never safe against his illusions.
Solid performance in both games of tie series
August 4, 2017
Raven played well in both games of TNC's 1-1 series vs iG.Vitality in the group stages of The International 7. He finished with a 10/6/14 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Raven played Sven. He had a fairly standard game. His lane went well, and he was able to farm up his first few items very quickly. There wasn't anyone on the side of iG.V who could stand toe to toe with him, and Raven's Black King Bar meant there was no way for iG.V to escape him in the late game. He finished with a 6/2/9 KDA. In Game 2 Raven played Phantom Lancer. His split-pushing was a huge part of what kept TNC in the game from behind for so long. He was often in position to pressure iG.V's base when TNC were being pressured, but it just wasn't enough to stop the iG.V onslaught in the end. He finished with a 4/4/5 KDA.
Goes off in a major way
August 2, 2017
Raven saved his best for last as TNC Pro Team split the series 1-1 with Evil Geniuses in the Group Stages of The International 7. Raven finished the series with a 23/3/12 KDA.
ANALYSIS
After watching EG come out and take Game 1, the TI adrenaline must have finally gotten to Raven. After being neutralized in Game 1, Raven queued up Phantom Assassin for Game 2 and went bonkers. By the end of the win, Raven worked his way to a 19/0/8 KDA and saved the series for his team.
Rides excellent early game to easy win
June 28, 2017
Raven played a good series for TNC as they destroy Fnatic in The International 7 Qualifiers. The consistent carry finished with a KDA of 7/0/18.
ANALYSIS
Raven took his Drow Ranger to the off lane against Ohaiyo's Bristleback. His last hitting in the early game was phenomenal as he didn't give his opponent any farm. He was seemingly always at the right place as he pushed towers and racked up the assists for his team. Drow Ranger is a risky pick but Raven did not die a single time, so TNC managed to play that one to perfection.
Near-perfect series from TNC carry
May 21, 2017
Raven continues his run as one of SEA's best carry players as TNC sweep the floor with Newbee in Starladder. The soft-spoken carry finished with a KDA of 13/6/24.
ANALYSIS
Raven's opening game on Luna underlined his efficiency as a carry. Raven was perfectly deciding whether to push or to farm as he always kept Newbee off balance. He even finished the game with five kills, the highest net worth, and the highest tower damage done. Raven then went with Sven in Game 2. With the help of stacks set up by his team, he skyrocketed up the net worth chart and was involved in 19 of TNC's 22 kills.
Yet another steady performance from TNC carry
May 18, 2017
Raven continued to be one of the best carry players from SEA as TNC Pro Team dominated Invictus Gaming in Starladder. The newly blonde-dyed carry finished with a KDA 17/4/19.
ANALYSIS
Raven kicked off the series with Lycan in the safe lane. He had an easy time in the early stages, as he was not contested at all by Xxs's Dark Seer. While his skill build of not taking early points in Howl was questionable, TNC still breezed through an easy win. In Game 2, he played a good game on his Troll Warlord. He farmed an early Vladimir's Offering and was involved often for his team as he was key in their dominant performance.
Once again struggles against Faceless
April 28, 2017
The consistent Filipino carry Raven was corralled by Team Faceless in the Kiev Major. The soft-spoken carry finished with a KDA of 11/7/26.
ANALYSIS
Raven is usually TNC's most consistent player, but Faceless knew exactly how to handle the young star. His one kill on the Spectre rounded out his worst game of the tournament. He bounced back with his Slark in the following game as he was involved often for his team with his efficient mix of rotations and farming. In the final game, Raven's Troll Warlord managed a good 540 gold per minute, but he was too gung-ho in many moments of the game that swung the game in the Singapore-based squad's favor.
Can't get it together against Faceless
March 12, 2017
Raven finished TNC Pro Team's 2-1 loss to Team Faceless during the Semifinals of the SEA Regional Qualifiers for the Kiev Major with a final KDA of 25/14/28.
ANALYSIS
Raven played Drow Ranger in Game 1 and found himself the focus of Faceless' ire. Raven spent a fair amount of time in the grave, dying frequently throughout the match. He managed to contribute a hefty chunk of damage and secure some kills for TNC, but he just couldn't morph into the true terror that a well-played Drow can become. In Game 2, Raven facilitated TNC's only victory as Lone Druid. Content to push objectives while his team protected his perimeter, Raven laid down 16,200 tower damage en route to a victory. In Game 3, Raven's Juggernaut was unable to push objectives with impunity and couldn't lock down enemy cores for easy pickoffs. On the backfoot early thanks to Black^'s Clinkz, Raven was unable to push out lanes without fear of death and could only watch as his team was sieged into submission.
