VICI Gaming
Perfect performance from the mid laner
October 23, 2018
Ori did not die a single time against Alliance. The Chinese mid laner finished with a KDA of 19/0/15.
Ori went with Lina in Game 1 of the series. He couldn't pressure qojqva's Lone Druid early. He decided to rotate early and often which allowed Vici Gaming to keep within striking distance. Ori was rarely making any mistakes throughout the game as he was the heart of the Vici Gaming offensive. Ori played Necrophos in Game 2. This time around he managed to outplay Qojqva in lane as he built a tremendous lead early on. After a quick Hood of Defiance, Alliance could no longer touch him.
Takes a much needed 2-0 win
August 18, 2018
Ori finished a 2-0 win against Virtus.pro in the group stages at The International 8 with an overall KDA of 17/7/26.
Ori played a fantastic Kunkka in Game 1, shutting down Ramzes' Broodmother in lane and creating a huge amount of space for the rest of his team. He also transitioned very well into the later stages of the game, bringing a huge chunk of damage to the fight for Vici. He finished with a 7/2/20 KDA. In Game 2 Ori played Lina. He played well again but gave up a few more deaths this time around. His positioning was good enough for him to get off his damage, but he was still weak to the threat of a Global Silence all game. He finished with a 9/5/6 KDA.
Incredible Legion Commander game for naught
June 9, 2018
Ori never really got going against Secret in the China Dota Supermajor. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 7/11/18.
Ori struggled on the get-go with his signature Puck against MidOne's Zeus. He was forced to abandon the lane early and try his luck ganking. He got a Blink Dagger at a fairly good timing but it did not feel like the game changer that Vici Gaming wanted. Ori changed it up in Game 2 with a safelane Legion Commander. He was always just looking for a Duels for Sunstrikes across the map after farming a 12-minute Blink Dagger. He got going with an incredible amount of Duel Damage very early on. But as Legion Commanders do, Ori eventually fell behind and he couldn't help his team pick up the win in the end.
Powerless against the Virtus.pro onslaught
April 6, 2018
Ori couldn't really flex his muscles against Virtus.Pro in the Dota Asia Championships 2018. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 4/3/6.
Ori played his favorite Outworld Devourer in the important game. He tried to pressure Death Prophet in the offlane, but it didn't work out well for him. He got early utility with a 13-minute Force Staff, but he was so powerless against Broodmother that he was mostly trying to save himself rather than trying to deal damage on the board.
Forgettable showing from Vici mid laner
March 7, 2018
Ori just couldn't get much going as Vici were eliminated from the Bucharest Major by Team Liquid.
Ori played Puck in the important elimination match for Vici Gaming. He got a favorable matchup against MATUMBAMAN's Gyrocopter. But constant rotations from GH's Earth Spirit slowed down his progression. Ori still managed a nine-minute Veil of Discord, but it didn't really amount to much as Vici were eventually overpowered by Team Liquid.
Impressive series from Vici Gaming mid laner
February 22, 2018
Ori was a catalyst in Vici Gaming's sweep of Virtus.pro in ESL One Katowice 2018. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 31/5/38.
Ori switched it up in the series opener, bringing his Dragon Knight to the safe lane. The change worked wonders for VG as he managed to grab an 11-minute Blink Dagger. Alongside Paparazi's Razor they took firm control of the game to the eventual victory. In Game 2, Ori returned to the mid lane with Death Prophet in explosive fashion. He was only killed once in the early game and was just an unstoppable force for Vici Gaming thereafter with 19 kills.
Overcomes rough start to find win
February 21, 2018
Ori shined on Dragon Knight as Vici Gaming defeated OG Dota 1-0 in the first round of ESL One Katowice. Ori finished with a 6/4/12 KDA.
After a rocky beginning, Ori was able to shine on Dragon Knight. He fought well throughout and was able to lead his team in objectives, destroying three towers and four barracks. Ori was just making plays, regardless of where he was on the map.
Shows signs of quality in defeat
January 26, 2018
Ori's best effort wasn't enough as Vici Gaming were eliminated from ESL One Genting by Newbee. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 4/8/6.
Ori played Shadow Fiend in Game 1 of the series. He drew against sccc's Viper in the laning stage. Ori was able to amp up his farm by flash farming in the jungle and managed to grab a 16-minute Sange and Yasha, though the item interestingly only resulted in one total kill for Ori. In Game 2, his Tinker managed a quick nine-minute Boots of Travel. He used the item to pick up three kills but was often the focus of Newbee in the teamfights.
Early BoT helped team stay in the game
January 23, 2018
Ori's TInker was the lone bright spark for Vici Gaming in their lost at ESL One Genting. The midlaner finished with 4/3/9.
Despite losing the laning phase against Freeze, he still farmed up a 10 minute Boots of Travel which helped him dictate the tempo for his team. With Ori's consistently shoving out lanes in their favor, he really allowed his team to get some much needed kills and space.
Holds his team together
January 9, 2018
Ori finished Vici Gaming's 2-0 victory over OG during the semi-finals of Captains Draft 4 with an average KDA of 11/4/16.
Ori was the linchpin of Vici Gaming's play style in both games, holding ground until Paparazi was ready to roll. In Game 1 Ori dominated the middle lane as Queen of Pain, putting himself in a good position to dictate the game's pace until Paparazi's Anti-Mage was farmed. In Game 2, Ori had a little more trouble as Puck. This was remedied by VG's team composition having a carry hero that came on-line quickly.
Disappointing start to Captain's Draft 4
January 4, 2018
Ori finished with a 2/9/9 KDA in a loss to Mineski at Captain's Draft 4.
Ori had a miserable game on Dragon Knight. He was constantly putting himself in the middle of fights, like Dragon Knight is supposed to do, but he was too far behind to actually survive the Mineski onslaught. Ori's constant deaths really hurt his item progression, further compounding his issues.
Quiet but effective series from VG mid
November 25, 2017
Ori had a quiet but solid series against LFY at the Perfect World Masters. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 7/1/19.
Ori went with Queen of Pain in the midlane in the series opener. He lost early on against Super's Sniper but he easily changed his fortunes in the mid game. His 19-minute Orchid of Malevolence easily allowed him to get an easy pick off on Sniper and the supports. In Game 2, Ori's Puck had a better early game start. His 14-minute Veil of Discord and Blink Dagger allowed him to easily dictate the tempo in the lopsided win.
Had an all around dominant series performance in the win
November 19, 2017
Ori put together a balanced and dominant showing as Vici Gaming defeated Vega Squadron 2-0 in the Group Stages of Perfect World Masters. Ori finished the series with a 16/3/24 KDA.
Paparazi may have made the headlines for most kills, but Ori had an amazing showing in his own right. Ori was second on the team with 16 kills, shining on Death Prophet across both games. Ori really had a perfect series, not being phased by anything that Vega did to try to come from behind. Death Prophet seems to be a comfort pick for Ori, as all of Vici looked comfy in this win.
Good stats but no impact
October 12, 2017
Ori stats weren't too bad on paper, but his impact left a lot to be desired as Vici Gaming lost to SG to open up Starladder. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 11/5/2.
He kicked off the series with the still meta-relevant Necrophos. His laning stage was mostly even against 4dr as they both got their fair share, but the game quickly swung in SG's way as Ori was concentrating too much on farming and did not rotate often. He stayed high on the net-worth chart, but his one assist was disappointing. In Game 2, his Death Prophet did a lot more for his team. His Exorcisms were efficient and he provided a hefty amount of hero damage and tower damage for his team. His Silences also could have been better, though.
Low farm hinders Ori
July 6, 2017
Ori finished Vici Gaming's 1-0 loss to Evil Geniuses during the groups stages of MDL 2017 with a final KDA of 6/4/6
Ori managed to hold his own as Phantom Assassin in the middle lane against SumaiL's Earth Spirit. However, his lack of lane assistance due to his team's greedy lineup hurt his early farm, and Ori was unable to unleash Phantom Assassin's full destructive power. With three cores continually vying for supremacy on the side of Vici, EG was able to narrowly beat them and take the victory.
