Costly mistakes for Newbee star
August 20, 2018
Sccc wasn't at his best and Newbee are eliminated from The International 2018. The star midlaner finished with a KDA of 6/8/25.
ANALYSIS
Sccc used Dragon Knight against Iceberg's Tiny in the midlane. He was struggling against Tiny's hard-hitting blows to sustain in lane despite his hero's innate tankiness. He then decided to buy a very quick Black King Bar to help the fights Newbee swing their way. But questionable plays in the late game dug Newbee a hole, they couldn't get out of.
Outclassed by Virtus pro
August 17, 2018
Sccc finished a rough 0-2 loss to Virtus pro in the group stages at The International 8 with an overall KDA of 6/14/16.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Sccc played a miserable Ember Spirit. He tried his best and made a few nice plays, but Virtus pro were all over Sccc all game. Even Aeon Disc couldn't save him from the relentless VP aggression, and a few overextensions by Sccc only made things worse for himself. Game 2 was equally bad for Sccc, on Lina this time. He found a few cheeky kills, but never managed to get any real momentum going against Virtus pro's dominant aggression. This time Newbee never even got a lead at any point in the game.
Looks great when not on Dragon Knight
June 5, 2018
Sccc looked very underwhelming apart from Game 2 in a 1-2 loss to Virtus.pro at the China Supermajor. He finished with a 17/11/12 overall KDA.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played Dragon Knight in a quick Game 1 loss. He did fine in lane but couldn't put enough pressure on the rest of the map to help out his teammates. He never managed to take more than the tier one towers, always forced to be playing on the defensive. He finished with a 2/3/4 KDA. Sccc came back in Game 2 with a nice Lina performance. He managed to edge out No[o]ne in the middle lane and transition into a very strong carry for his team in the mid and late-game. His burst damage helped Newbee eat through Virtus.pro's tanky cores, putting them low enough to be right clicked down. He finished with a 14/4/6 KDA. In Game 3 Sccc played Dragon Knight again, having a similar experience to Game 1. This time he lost his lane though and was put into a much more disadvantageous position. He finished with a 1/4/2 KDA.
Continues to be a steady force for Newbee
June 1, 2018
Sccc had another solid series for Newbee at the China Super Major. The star mid laner finished with a KDA of 15/5/22.
ANALYSIS
Sccc's opening game on Lina had an easy time in the laning stage against Dendi's Queen of Pain. Despite being on a hero that likes to rack up the kills, Sccc curiously only had two kills in the game. It didn't matter in the end for Newbee as they still picked up the easy Game 1 victory with Sccc's below-average KDA. In Game 2, sccc tried his luck with Dragon Knight. He had a much better game on the steady hero. His 13-minute Shadowblade created a lot of problems for Na'Vi as Newbee just ran away with yet another easy victory.
Elected mayor of Crit City with his Kunkka play
May 18, 2018
Sccc had a divine performance against Invictus Gaming as Newbee move on in MDL Changsha Major. The star mid laner finished with a KDA of 14/5/13.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played the high tournament win rate Kunkka in their important match against Invictus Gaming. He outplayed Xxs's Dragon Knight in the mid game, quickly farming up a Phase Boots and Drums of Endurance. When he finally got his double Daedalus in the late game, sccc started to have his fun against IG. He was deleting heroes on IG left and right once he got the Divine Rapier, and his critical hits proved too much for IG in the late game.
Bounced back after rough Game 1
May 14, 2018
Sccc managed to do just enough for Newbee to get the draw at MDL Changsha. The popular player finished with a KDA of 14/6/22.
ANALYSIS
Sccc looked shaky in his series opener with Lina. He couldn't really get any momentum against Armel's Queen of Pain. He had to rush a Black King Bar at the 20-minute mark just to have a chance to survive. His three kills were as poor as it can get from Newbee's star mid laner. In Game 2, Sccc finally flexed his muscles. His Kunkka was more than ready against Armel's repeat Queen of Pain. He was farming very well and initiating with ease. In the latter stages of the game, he was even one shotting TNC's supports to the delight of Newbee fans everywhere.
Struggles to find his footing against Virtus.pro
April 29, 2018
Sccc finished with an overall KDA of 27/19/33 in a 2-1 loss to Virtus.pro at EPICENTER XL.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1 Sccc played an unimpactful Dragon Knight. He couldn't bring enough damage to the table for Newbee to have a shot winning fights against Virtus.pro and despite being difficult to bring down, Sccc was far from an impossible kill. He finished with a 4/5/6 KDA. Sccc played Razor in Game 2, taking over fights with help from his teammates. He was the rock that kept Newbee afloat during a shaky mid-game and his efforts were rewarded with a long but well-earned win. He finished with an impressive 17/5/20 KDA. In Game 3 Sccc played an ineffective Viper. He died very quickly in fights and struggled to deal much effective damage all game. He finished with a 6/9/7 KDA.
Needs time to find his winning ways again
April 2, 2018
Sccc could simply not lead Newbee to a victory in their elimination against Evil Geniuses at the Dota Asia Championships 2018. The midlaner finished with a KDA of 3/5/10.
ANALYSIS
Sccc kicked off the series with Invoker. He did poorly in the laning stage against Fear's Dragon Knight. To compensate, Sccc had to buy a Ring of Aquila before his 13 minute Hand of Midas. He only got two Sunstrike kills and is far from what an Invoker needs to jump-start his game. In Game 2, sccc took the Dragon Knight from Fear but it he still struggled in lane. His 15 minute Shadow Blade didn't really result in many kills for Newbee. His one Infest Gank with Moogy on SumaiL even ended in the deaths of both of them.
Bounces back from poor laning stage
March 23, 2018
Sccc had a very solid performance against OG in Dreamleague Season 9. The Chinese star finished with a KDA of 22/10/21.
ANALYSIS
Sccc's series started off on the wrong foot with his Gyrocopter. He struggled against s4's Puck in the laning stage, but thanks to his timely rotations, Sccc managed to quickly get back into the game after purchasing a 21-minute Black King Bar. In Game 2, Sccc against did poorly in the laning stage, with his Lina being picked off a couple of times. But with Lina being a much easier bounce-back hero, Sccc eventually erased his poor start and ended the series with a game-high 16 kills.
Another solid showing from Newbee star
March 4, 2018
Sccc churned out another solid performance for Newbee in their win against Vega Squadron at the Bucharest Major. The star mid laner finished with a KDA of 11/3/5.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played the nerfed but still effective Dragon Knight in the only game of the series. He won his laning stage against AfterShock's Faceless Void. He rushed a Shadow Blade at the 14-minute mark. Sccc then spearheaded all of Newbee's along the map either by taking out towers or finding pick offs.
No kills to his name
February 23, 2018
Sccc failed impress in Newbee's elimination against Evil Geniuses in ESL One Katowice. The mid laner finished with a KDA of 0/12/5.
ANALYSIS
Shockingly, the Newbee star failed to register a single kill in the blowout. What was even more shocking was that Sccc had one of his lowest gold-per-minute statlines of his whole pro career at 318 throughout the series. He looked lost against Evil Geniuses early-game rotations as his team was forced to tap out early in both games.
Can't get anything done
February 21, 2018
Sccc was taken out of the game as Newbee fell to Team Kinguin 1-0 in the first round of ESL One Katowice. Sccc finished with a 1/2/2 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Sccc was playing Outworld Devourer, but definitely was the player to get eaten up. The normally dependable player was overwhelmed by the aggression from Kinguin as he was pushed to his heels early. Sccc can chalk this up as a very bad game, as he will need to get back to himself if Newbee wants any chance of surviving.
Doesn't have to do the heavylifting for Newbee
February 21, 2018
Sccc took a backseat in Newbee's dismantling of Natus Vincere in ESL One Katowice 2018. The star mid laner finished with a KDA of 7/1/20.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played the low-profile Dragon Knight in the first game of the series. He had a decent laning stage against Dendi's Queen of Pain and bought an early Armlet of Mordiggian. He utilized it well with his Elder Dragon Form cooldowns and got solid objectives each time. In Game 2, Sccc was again on the Dragon Knight. He ignored the Armlet this time around and went straight for a Shadow Blade into a Black King Bar. This helped Newbee take the lead, which they never let go of.
Solid series from the Newbee middle lane
February 2, 2018
Sccc finished with an overall KDA of 24/13/28 in an impressive 2-1 win against Mineski the fourth Starladder Invitational.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played Outworld Devourer in Game 1, but didn't deliver like he usually does on the hero. He managed to turn a few fights around in the early game with his Sanity's Eclipse, but this trick only worked a few times before Mineski wised up to it. He finished the game with a 7/5/5 KDA. In Game 2 Sccc bounced back on Shadow Fiend. He played well in lane, securing the early lead that is so often critical to Shadow Fiend's success. With his other lanes also doing well, Sccc was able to snowball his early lead along with the rest of Newbee into a huge mid-game lead. He finished with an 11/3/12 KDA. In Game 3 Sccc played Medusa. This wasn't nearly as flashy as his other two games, but Sccc got the job done. He had a rough early game, but managed to keep his composure and farm his way back into the game. Once he had his items, Sccc was a rock in fights for Newbee to gather around. He finished with a 6/5/11 KDA.
Newbee star gets a lot of help from his team
January 26, 2018
Sccc wasn't the focal point but still impressed in Newbee's sweep Vici Gaming in ESL One Genting. The prolific mid laner finished with a KDA of 10/3/29.
ANALYSIS
Sccc played Viper in the first game of the series. He had a good time in the laning phase against Ori's Viper. His nine-minute Helm of the Dominator allowed him to lead the way for Newbee making plays left and right. In Game 2, Sccc brought Zeus to the midlane. He again had a good laning phase against Ori. He racked up eight kills, perfectly timing his combos with Faith's Fatal Bonds. His excellent game sense also allowed him to feel when Fenrir's Bounty Hunter lurked or enemy Observer Wards were nearby.
