Damonte helped Clutch end Week 7 with a win during Sunday's match with CLG. The mid laner was involved in nine of 14 kills, ending with the third highest kill participation on the team. His two kills were the second fewest on the team, but his seven assists tied for the team-high in the win.
Lacks impact
February 26, 2019
Damonte ended Sunday's loss to Optic with a 5/4/2 KDA as Syndra.
Damonte struggled to be involved during Sunday's loss to Optic Gaming. The mid laner was involved in only seven of 18 kills, ending with the team-low in kill participation. His two assists were the team-low, but his five kills tied for the second highest figure.
Low kill involement
February 21, 2019
Damonte ended Sunday's loss to FlyQuest with a 2/2/1 KDA as LeBlanc.
Damonte struggled to be involved during Sunday's loss to FlyQuest. The mid laner participated in only three of seven kills, the lowest kill participation on the team. Despite the low kill participation, his two kills tied for the team-high, but it wasn't enough to help Clutch to victory.
Joins Clutch Gaming
November 27, 2018
Damonte will join Clutch Gaming, ESPN.com's Jacob Wolf reports.
Clutch Gaming completed its dramatic roster turnover with the addition of Damonte, who will be stepping in at mid lane for Febiven, who was transferred to Misfits on Tuesday. Damonte played in 14 games for Echo Fox during the 2018 Summer Split, finishing with a disappointing figures, including a 2.6 KDA and a 57.2 kill participation percentage.
Free Agent
Contract expired
November 21, 2018
Damonte's contract has expired making the player a free agent heading into the 2019 Spring Split.
It'll be interesting to see how much of a market Damonte will drum up, as the middle laner was one of the younger players in the Summer Split and displayed plenty of potential throughout the season. A disappointing 2.6 KDA could likely be attributed to the team's decision to focus their offensive presence through the jungle and ADC, but a 57.2 kill percentage just wasn't a quality enough mark to return to Echo Fox. Look for the organization to potentially acquire a player from overseas to complete their roster.
Unable to get going in loss
September 16, 2018
Damonte earned a series KDA of 2/7/9 during his team's loss at the hands of Team SoloMid.
Although Damonte had a strong showing the last time Echo Fox met Team SoloMid, he simply wasn't able to keep up with his lane opponent as things progressed. Starting things off on Ryze, he was able to hold his own for the beginning of the lane phase, but quickly faltered. Against a burst champion that got scaling quickly, Damonte found himself giving up kills, allowing his opponent to scale and dominate the game. Damonte opted to take Syndra for himself in the next game, but once again could not get things going. Though he had the best performance of his team during the game, it was simply not enough as the enemy had superior macro, quickly taking the series to match point and putting FOX down 0-2. Damonte switched things up again and picked Zilean in Game 3 where he had his best performance yet, but the rest of his team was unable to hold onto things. Giving up objectives, Damonte did little more than attempt to control his lane and fail to do so. Farming things out and delaying his team's deaths in teamfights, his showing wasn't enough, allowing TSM to close out the game and claim the series 3-0.
Controlled play on variety of champions
September 14, 2018
Damonte earned a series KDA of 7/5/14 during his team's series sweep against Clutch Gaming.
Although Damonte didn't have a flashy performance during his series against CG, his performance was crucial to his team's victory. Starting the series off on Syndra, he went toe-to-toe with his lane opponent, keeping down the strongest member of the enemy team. As his team built a lead, he was able to group up and assist in closing out the game. He played a more controlled role in the next two games, picking Galio and Ryze respectively. Once again in lane he played more of a role of shutting down the enemy laner than picking up an advantage. He did just that, shutting down his lane and grouping with ease. As a result, his strong showing allowed Echo Fox to push its lead, closing out the series in convincing fashion 3-0 with back-to-back victories.
Shatters expectations despite loss
August 27, 2018
Damonte finished Echo Fox's 3-2 series loss to TSM with a combined KDA of 15/14/18.
Although his team was unable to claim victory against Team SoloMid, Damonte had a strong performance throughout the series that showed off his individual skill. Starting Game 1 off with a quiet showing in his loss, he immediately turned up the heat and dominated the next two games. Making short work of Bjergsen, he was able to carry his team to a convincing Game 2 victory, and once again dominated in Game 3 to bring Echo Fox to match point. Despite Damonte being able to keep this going during the next two games of the series, the rest of his team struggled to capitalize and get things going. Try as he might, Damonte could not make up for the team's shortcomings, allowing TSM to bring things back into their favor and close out the series 3-2.
Another solid Zoe performance
August 12, 2018
Damonte ended 3/2/2 as Echo Fox lost to OpTic on Sunday.
Sunday's game was the latest in a string of impressive Zoe games from Damonte; unfortunately, it wasn't enough to take home a win. Playing into the counter matchup of Fizz, Damonte had to tread carefully, but he still managed to pick up a number of early kills while remaining deathless for much of the game. His mechanical skill on the champion was evident in fights, as he weaved around teamfights and bent skillshots at the proper angles, but Echo Fox were simply outfought in the late game.
Promoted to starting roster
July 25, 2018
Damonte has been moved up to the starting roster for Echo Fox, reports Jacob Wolf of ESPN Esports.
After having started the last three matches of the Summer Split, Echo Fox has decided to go with Damonte in the mid lane from now on. This wasn't the only roster change to hit the team this week, as they released Fenix and Altec, while also promoting Lost to the starting roster and signing Smoothie from Cloud9. After managed to overcome bouts of inconsistency and locking into a four-way tie for the top spot in the standings, Echo Fox is surely hoping that this new roster can help them break ahead of the pack in the last half of the split.
Struggles in victory
July 24, 2018
Damonte earned a 1/3/4 KDA on Ryze during his team's victory over GGS on Sunday.
Much like the rest of his team, Damonte struggled during his team's victory over GGS. After falling behind in lane, he found himself unable to get anything done due to his limited range. As GGS picked up the pressure, it seemed as though he would be completely useless during his team's defeat. Try as he might, he could do little during the mid game. Thankfully, his jungler had a much easier time with things. After picking up several objectives and kills of his own, Dardoch helped Damonte bounce back and come out ahead. Allowing him to stall the game out for some time, Damonte was ultimately able to join his team for a pair of skirmishes in the late game, dominating the enemy team and picking up a 32-minute victory.
Does his best to carry
July 22, 2018
Damonte ended 7/3/2 as Echo Fox fell to 100 Thieves on Saturday.
Echo Fox looked to have the advantage early on in this game, which was mostly thanks to Damonte. After picking up a couple early kills on Zoe, he quickly roamed around the map to help find picks and pressure in other lanes. As the game drew on, he put out consistent poke damage and even found a pick that nearly earned Echo Fox a Baron buff. Unfortunately, Damonte was the only one pulling weight on his team, and 100 Thieves had multiple members doing well.
Strong showing on Galio nets victory
July 16, 2018
Damonte earned a 1/2/5 KDA on Galio during Echo Fox's victory over TSM.
Although Damonte didn't have a flashy performance against TSM, his consistency was crucial to his team's victory. Starting off strong, he helped his team dive to pick up first blood in the top lane. Finding opportunities to scale up, he continued to join his team in skirmishes, dealing large amounts of damage and disrupting the enemy team in the process. Mainly soaking damage for his team, he was able to bring Echo Fox the openings they needed in fights to control the enemy team. Time and again he was able to remain alive after disrupting TSM's carries to the point that they could not come back from his team's early aggression. Taunting key targets on the enemy team, Damonte was able to help Echo Fox take two final teamfights, closing out the game convincingly in 32 minutes.
Flawless showing on Zoe nets win
July 9, 2018
Damonte earned a 5/0/5 KDA on Zoe to assist his team's victory over Splyce on Thursday.
After a rather slow start to the game, Damonte had an extremely strong showing during the mid game to assist his team in dominating Splyce. After taking some time to get things going, Damonte was able to begin picking up teamfight victories thanks to his impressive performance. Consistently hitting max range abilities and decimating those around him, the rest of FOX had no trouble moving as a unit to force fights. Damonte skirted around the backline, easily dealing damage from range and assisting his team in taking teamfight victories back-to-back. As a result, Echo Fox easily closed out the game, taking a 31-minute victory.
Strong showing not enough to claim victory
July 6, 2018
Damonte earned a 5/2/3 KDA on Syndra during Echo Fox's 31-minute defeat against Fnatic.
Damonte showed his skill from the very start against Fnatic, playing Syndra in the bottom lane and quickly having a positive impact on his team. Despite being unable to dominate lane, Damonte still had a positive impact on his team, roaming early and roaming effectively. Each time he roamed, he seemed to find an advantage for his team, claiming either a kill, assist, or tower for his efforts. Despite his strong performance, Damonte was unable to get much done for the rest of his team. As the other carries struggled, he did what he could to eliminate threats but was ultimately unable to stop Fnatic's onslaught. Try as he might, Damonte could only do so much for his team, ultimately allowed Fnatic to claim a 31-minute victory. Although he was defeated, Damonte proved he was a massive threat during his team's game.
