Not listed on Giants Gaming
November 8, 2018
Ruin is not listed on the Giants Gaming roster heading into the 2019 Spring Split.
Ruin posted a 31/65/65 KDA through 18 games as the top laner for Giants Gaming, but a 57.5 kill percentage reflects just how poorly the team played throughout the 2018 Summer Split. He'll have an opportunity to join a new team heading into the next Spring Split.
August 18, 2018
Ruin finished Giants' loss to Splyce on Saturday with a KDA of 1/6/2.
In some sense, it's good for Ruin that Betsy made such a show of feeding Nisqy in this game, otherwise more attention might have been paid to Ruin's failings. On Rumble, he managed to get a bit of an early CS lead against Odoamne's Gnar (mostly due to the latter's roaming) but gave up a solo kill in lane anyway. From there, he went on to challenge Betsy for the game-high death total, missing out only by a single death while never getting much done in fights, such as there were any.
Strong showing despite poor stat line
August 11, 2018
Ruin earned a 2/5/1 KDA on Gragas as his team was defeated by Fnatic on Friday.
Although Ruin had a couple of strong plays against Fnatic, his performance simply was not enough to net his team a victory. After getting ganked early on, he struggled to find his stride during the early stages of the game. After laning phase ended and his team found themselves at a disadvantage, Ruin began finding ways to initiate on the enemy team. Unfortunately, these initiations rarely paid off as the enemy team focused him down heavily. Though he was able to find strong openings such as landing a three-man bodyslam ultimate combo, his team could not follow up as it came too little too late. As a result, Giants was defeated at the 30-minute mark.
Only winning lane
June 30, 2018
Ruin ended 1/1/3 as Giants fell to Fnatic on Saturday.
Ruin's Ornn was one of the lone bright spots for Giants in this game, and even that didn't last long. Still, coordinating with Djoko and his bottom lane, he managed to take out sOAZ twice and take the top lane turret. He certainly didn't accomplish much on his own, however, and that was the extent of his success.
Leads the charge for Giants
March 4, 2018
Ruin went 4/1/5 in Giants' loss to G2 on Saturday.
Using Kled as part of Giants' triple-diver composition, Ruin was easily the most successful member of his team. He was ganked early on for first blood, but this would be his only death all game long. Meanwhile, he gradually built up a CS advantage over his opponent, and also provided a solid Heroic Entrance target for Betsy's Galio. He ended the game 4/1/5, missing out on only a single kill participation despite the loss.
Can't do much on Sion
March 2, 2018
Ruin ended Giants loss to ROCCAT with a 1/1/2 KDA as Sion.
Ruin finished the game involved in three of four kills. His one kill was tied for the team high, while his two assists were the second most on the team. Ruin struggled to involve on Sion once Giants fell behind.
Unable to scale
February 16, 2018
Ruin finished Friday's loss to Splyce with a 0/1/1 KDA as Gangplank.
Ruin ended the game involved in Giants' one kill, picking up an assist by way of Cannon Barrage. Ruin was never afforded a chance to scale on the Gangplank as Giants were taken out in under 30 minutes.
Ties for lowest kill participation in win
February 2, 2018
Ruin finished GIA's win over ROC with a 3/3/7 KDA as Gnar.
Ruin was involved in 10 of 16 kills as Giants moved into first place of the EU LCS. His three kills were the third-highest total on the team while his seven assists were the second lowest. Ruin tied with Steeelback for the team-low kill participation, but did enough in mid- and late-game teamfights to take down ROCCAT.
Successful flank plays help Giants to upset win
January 26, 2018
Ruin finished Giants win over G2 with a 4/1/7 KDA as Gnar.
Ruin was involved in 11 of 16 GIA kills as they picked up a surprise win over G2 on Day 1 of Week 2 in the EU LCS. Ruin finished with the team's second-highest kill total, while his seven assists tied for the second-highest total in the game. Ruin was able to effectively flank G2 on Gnar throughout the game, helping Giants dominate teamfights.
Gets Giants off to a good start
January 20, 2018
Ruin finished Giants' loss to Vitality with a 2/4/4 KDA as Cho'gath.
Ruin got off to a good start, having a hand in Giants' first five kills in the game before falling off. He finished the game involved in six of seven kills, tying for the team high in kills and also tying for the second highest assist total on the team.
Sets the tone with outplay for first blood
January 19, 2018
Ruin ended Day 1 of the EU LCS with a 3/1/5 KDA as Ornn.
Ruin set the tone for Giants by outplaying a 1-vs-2 gank attempt early in the game, turning the play on UoL to secure first blood. From there he helped Giants dominate as he was involved in eight of 12 kills, finishing with the second-highest kill total and tying for the second-most assists with five.
