Simply outscaled
March 4, 2018
Steeelback finished off Giants' loss on Saturday to G2 with a 2/2/5 KDA.
Steeelback's Caitlyn performed exactly as expected in the matchup against Tristana. Steeelback found an early lead in lane, but eventually couldn't keep up in damage. This was truly the story of Giants, as they had neither the tankiness or DPS to match G2 at six items, which is when the latter made their move to take the game.
Can't clean up teamfights
March 2, 2018
Steeelback finished Friday's loss to ROCCAT with a 1/2/1 KDA as Tristana.
Steeelback ended the game involved in two of four kills. He tied for the team high with one kill, but managed only one assists as ROCCAT took the game. Steeelback struggled to do much of anything once Giants fell behind as he couldn't provide enough damage to turn teamfights in Giants favor.
Falls behind and never recovers
February 16, 2018
Steeelback ended Friday's loss to Splyce with a 1/2/0 KDA as Twitch.
Steeelback finished the game with 100 percent kill participation as he picked up the lone kill of the game for Giants. Unfortunately, he also fell behind by 60 creep score to Kobbe early and was essentially irrelevant throughout the game.
Low kill participation, but second-highest kill total
February 2, 2018
Steeelback finished Giants' Friday win over ROC with a 4/1/6 KDA as Jinx.
Bringing out the Jinx pick, Steeelback finished the game involved in 10 of 16 kills. He tied for the lowest kill participation on the team, but finished the game with the team's second-highest kill total. He was able to effectively scale, dealing excellent damage in late-game teamfights while giving away only one death.
Excellent positioning on Caitlyn
January 26, 2018
Steeelback ended Friday's win over G2 with a 2/0/11 KDA as Caitlyn.
Steeelback was involved in all but one kill as Giants picked up a surprising win over G2 on Day 3 of the EU LCS. His two kills were good for only the fourth most on the team, but his 11 assists were the second most in the game. Steeelback used excellent positioning to stay safe during teamfights, ending the game with no deaths.
Limited impact in loss to Vitality
January 20, 2018
Steeelback ended Giants' Saturday loss to Vitality with a 1/1/3 KDA as Xayah.
Steeelback made little impact on the game as he wasn't really a part of Giants' strong early game. He finished the game involved in four of seven kills, but only managed to secure one kill.
Carries Giants past UoL
January 19, 2018
Steeelback finished Giants' Friday win over UoL with a 7/0/2 KDA as Tristana.
Steeelback carried Giants past UoL with an excellent carry performance on Tristana. He was involved in nine of 12 kills, leading Giants in both kill participation and kills with seven. Steeelback has shown flashes of carry potential in the past, giving Giants hope of exceeding expectations during the Spring Split.
Top Thresh doesn't pan out
August 14, 2017
Steeelback ended Vitality's Sunday loss to Splyce with an overall KDA of 5/18/18.
Steeelback went with a pair of support champions this series as both teams role swapped, starting with Blitzcrank in Game 1. He did a solid job, landing some impressive hooks and helping make Vander's bot-lane Garen the strongest champion on the map early on, despite eventually losing to Splyce's stronger late game. Steeelback's Game 2 on Thresh was significantly less successful, as he went 0/9/5, had paltry farm, and never really accomplished much of anything in the stomp for Splyce.
High-accuracy Ashe
July 23, 2017
Steeelback went 9/4/7 as Vitality fell 1-2 Saturday to G2.
After building up a small CS lead on Ashe in Game 1, Steeelback quickly teamed up with his Tahm Kench support to make cross-map plays. Steeelback's accuracy on Enchanted Crystal Arrow was impressive at long distances, and helped snowball his team into an easy victory. Unfortunately, Steeelback couldn't repeat his success in Game 2 on Kalista or Game 3 on Twitch, as he went down in CS both games during the laning phase and had no chance of coming back due to his team's deficits.
Can't get anything going
July 16, 2017
Steeelback earned a KDA of 1/4/5 as Vitality fell 0-2 to Fnatic on Saturday.
Selecting Jhin for Game 1, Steeelback farmed decently to end with the most gold on his team, but this is all that can be said for him, as he didn't participate in his team's sole kill and was mostly absent from the game. Things got marginally better for Steeelback's Ashe in Game 2, as he landed a couple of good Enchanted Crystal Arrows in the mid game, but ultimately he once again ended with the lowest kill participation in the game, and couldn't make too much of a contribution.
Helps Vitality to win over weak opponent
July 13, 2017
Steeelback finished Thursday's win over NiP with a 6/5/14 combined KDA.
Steeelback used Ashe in Game 1 to finish with a 6/1/2 KDA. He was involved in eight of Vitality's 12 kills and finished with a game-high six kills. In Game 2, Steeelback used Xayah to end with a 0/3/3 KDA. He had 100 percent kill participation with an assist on Vitality's three kills, but it wasn't enough to stop NiP from evening the series. In the decisive Game 3, Steeelback used Twitch to earn a 0/1/9 KDA. He was involved in nine of 15 Vitality kills and despite not picking up a kill of his own, tied with Djoko for the team high in assists.
Carries Game 2 win
June 22, 2017
Steeelback finished Thursday's 1-2 loss to Misfits with a 14/9/13 combined KDA.
Steeelback ended Game 1 with a 1/2/1 KDA as Caitlyn, earning 100 percent kill participation and half of his team's two kills. In Game 2, Steeelback used Twitch to end with a 10/5/8 KDA. He scaled into a huge threat in the late game, leading his team with 10 kills and carrying Vitality to Game 3. In Game 3, Steeelback ended with a 3/2/4 KDA as Ashe. He had 70 percent kill participation, but struggled to ever get to a point where he could carry Vitality.
Abysmal series from VIT AD carry
June 18, 2017
Steeelback managed only a 1/7/8 KDA as Vitality went down 0-2 to H2K on Saturday.
Steeelback simply didn't accomplish much of anything this series, playing two games of Caitlyn. He had a small CS lead for a time in Game 1, but gave up an early death and lost it. After that, it seemed he was never in position to do damage, rarely firing off more than a small handful of auto attacks in any given engagement. Game 2 was even worse, as he managed neither the CS lead nor the sole kill that stood as the only redeeming qualities to his first game. He earned a measly 0/4/3 KDA in the Game 2 loss.
Unkillable on Caitlyn
June 15, 2017
Steeelback ended Vitality's sweep of Mysterious Monkeys with a 10/0/4 KDA in two games as Caitlyn.
Steeelback finished Game 1 with a 5/0/1 KDA. He was involved in half of his team's kills, but tied with Nukeduck for the most kills in the game. In Game 2, he ended with a 5/0/3 KDA. He upped his kill participation to 75 percent and this time led the game in kills with five as Vitality closed out a one-sided series sweep over Europe's worst team.
Average play not enough
June 10, 2017
Steeelback ended Vitality's sweep to Splyce with a 7/5/4 KDA in two games as Kalista.
Steeelback ended Game 1 with a 4/3/2 KDA and Game 2 with a 3/2/2 KDA. He played decently, but couldn't really reach a point where he could carry either game. He combined fairly well with Vander, using Fate's Call to send his support in to set up kills. The problem for Vitality was their lack of late game teamfighting, especially in their Game 1 loss. Steeelback needs to step up and become a carry if Vitality hope to do anything this split.
