Unkillable in Game 3
June 11, 2018

Chewed up and spit out
August 7, 2017
Athena went a sorry 0/7/2 in I May's loss to EDG on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Athena's Game 1 Galio failed to accomplish anything all game, as he finished the slow stomp by EDG 0/1/0. The second game was significantly closer, but no thanks to Athena's Corki, who was consistently outplayed by Scout's Lucian and went a dismal 0/6/2.
Unable to carry on supportive mid laners
July 27, 2017
Athena ended IMay's 0-2 loss to OMG with a 3/8/9 combined KDA.
ANALYSIS
Athena used Karma in Game 1 to finish with a 2/4/6 KDA. He was involved in eight of 10 kills, using Karma to mostly pick up assists, finishing the game with six. In Game 2, Athena used Orianna to finish with a 1/4/3 KDA. He was again involved in all but two of IMay's kills, but finished well off the mark in terms of carrying the team.
Earns 500th LPL assist
April 18, 2017
Athena ended Tuesday's win over QG with a 18/7/15 combined KDA.
ANALYSIS
The 18 kills were a team-high as Athena was excellent throughout the series, earning two MVP awards throughout the four games. Playing four different champions throughout the series, Athena's skill didn't really drop off as he played well in every game. His 4/1/8 Zilean Game 1 and 5/0/9 Orianna Game 4 performances gave him the MVP award for both games. He was a constant threat in the mid lane and his prowess in teamfights helped I May drop only one game in the series. Even in the lone defeat of the series, Athena earned a positive 4/3/2 KDA as Vladimir, proving to be a rock I May could rely on.
Steady play not enough to carry I May
April 7, 2017
Athena finished Friday's sweep to OMG with a 7/5/6 combined KDA.
ANALYSIS
Athena ended Game 1 with a 3/2/2 KDA as Vladimir. He picked up an assist and a kill taking out Icon twice in the mid game and grabbed a kill and assist in the game's first teamfight. He solo killed Five for his final kill in the late game. In Game 2, Athena finished with a 4/3/4 KDA as Orianna. He grabbed two kills picking off Xiyang and Icon in the mid game and a kill in the first teamfight. He grabbed a kill and an assist picking off Icon and World6 in the mid game, an assist in the second teamfight, and two assists in the fourth teamfight as OMG closed out the series.
Closed out series with solid Fizz game
March 25, 2017
Athena earned a 13/6/23 KDA in I May's 2-1 series victory over EDG on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Athena was a steady source of production throughout the whole series and it started out with a 2/4/12 KDA performance on Oriana in Game 1. I May couldn't really do anything with Athena as he finished with 100 percent kill participation. However, he couldn't carry the late game fights as EDG took a victory. In Game 2 he was on Vladimir and did well at kiting in and out of teamfights. I May had a great frontline that allowed him to weave in and out of as he whittled away at EDG during sieges. In Game 3, Athena got early kills and assists on Fizz then went on terrorizing EDG. Athena used Playful Trickster to get out of any danger he found himself in on his way to a 9/0/3 KDA and 70 percent kill participation.
Bucks Game 1 struggles to finish strong

He picked up a kill in the fifth teamfight, a kill and an assist in the sixth teamfight, and two kills and an assist in the final teamfight. Using Kassadin in Game 3, Athena ended with a 3/1/7 KDA. He picked up kills taking out Kabe and Clid in the late game and two assists in the second teamfight of the game. He grabbed a kill taking out Ali in the late game and an assist in the third teamfight. His two assists in the fifth teamfight helped I May close out the series.
Hard-carries on Ryze
January 21, 2017
Athena went 17/4/8 against LGD in I May's Saturday victory.
ANALYSIS
Athena started off the series on Ryze in Game 1. After picking up an initial kill and assist in a 12-minute mid-lane skirmish, Athena would immediately pick up two more kills diving GodV and Eimy under turret with the help of Jinjiao and AmazingJ. Now 3/0/1, Athena would proceed to absolutely dominate LGD, putting out tons of damage in fights and maintaining 100 percent kill participation for over 25 minutes of the game's sub-30-minute duration. Athena's Game 2 Orianna was ultimately less successful, but he still looked good on it. He was focused early on with a gank from LGD's top lane Camille, causing him to give up an early death. However, this would be his only death for a long time, and he would pick up a kill and two assists through solid skill usage in the meantime, all while staying ahead in CS. Unfortunately, the rest of his team wasn't holding up as well, and Athena fell victim to the massive deficit they had accrued. Game 3 saw Athena back on Ryze, to even greater effect than the first time around. Athena roamed top twice early on to put Funny's Fiora in the dumpster, and didn't let up from there. He then ulted into a bottom lane fight minutes later, picking up another kill and assist for himself. At this point, I May were nearly 4,000 gold ahead, and Athena kept pushing that advantage en route to victory and a fantastic 8/0/4 KDA in Game 3, making him 16/0/6 on the champion in this series overall.
Dozen kills and assists in win over RNG
January 19, 2017
Athena ended Thursday's win over RNG with a 12/2/12 KDA.
ANALYSIS
Athena helped iMay dominate Game 1 with a 6/0/5 KDA as Cassiopeia. He secured iMay's first kill, roaming to the top lane to clean up LetMe after RNG secured first blood. Athena was excellent for iMay in teamfights, picking up two kills in the first teamfight of the game. A kill and an assist in the second teamfight after securing Baron and two kills and three assists in the final teamfight of the game helped iMay take Game 1. In Game 2, Athena used Corki and finished with a 6/2/7 KDA. He picked up a kill and an assist during the first teamfight of the game and an assist in the second teamfight, a kill and an assist in the third teamfight and three assists in the fifth teamfight of the game. His four kills and assist in the final teamfight allowed iMay to close out the series over RNG.
Navigates jungle well enough for I May win
October 10, 2016
Athena finished I May's win over Flash Wolves with a 1/2/5 KDA on Lee Sin.
ANALYSIS
Playing out of position in the jungle for Avoidless, who played support due to Road's one game suspension, Athena did a good job of setting up early kills. He picked up first blood by ganking Maple in the mid lane and grabbed an assist in both the first and second teamfights. Athena was able to consistently land Sonic Wave's and set up kicks to send members of Flash Wolves into his teammates for kills. Athena grabbed two assists during a teamfight at Baron to help I May grab the objective and snowball their lead.
Holds down mid lane for most of the playoff win over WE
August 17, 2016
Athena looked great in three games this series in a win against World Elite, finishing 11/7/31.
ANALYSIS
In Game 1, Athena took Vladimir into the mid lane and face off against xiye's Karma and had a good game in a losing effort for I May. WE's composition hit their power spike much earlier than I May's, and they were just barely able to ride that lead to victory, even though Athena was consistently tearing through multiple members of WE in each teamfight. In Game 2, Athena switched to Malzahar and faced off against Lissandra from xiye. Athena looked a little stifled this game, and spent most of his time holding mid against Mystic's Sivir, who thoroughly enjoyed farming those extra voidlings. But thanks to some stellar initiation from AmazingJ's Ekko, Athena was able to safely put out his sustained damage and help I May to the victory. Athena sat out Game 3, as BaeMe came in with a pocket Aurelion Sol pick and dominated the game, but Athena came back for Game 4 and took Lissandra up against xiye's Twisted Fate. Athena struggled a little at the start of the game, dying in an extended teamfight and then late getting caught out alone, but by the end of the game, his ability to dive in and initiate on huge groups of WE was essential. Athena's Frozen Tombs were exactly the setup that Jinjiao's Jhin needed to fire away from safety, racking up kills and pushing I May to their win.
Sparks I May, but can't defeat RNG in playoff loss
August 14, 2016
Athena came off the bench and stayed in, finishing the playoff series loss to RNG with a 10/9/25.
ANALYSIS
After RNG took Game 1 in just over 22 minutes, I May brought Athena off the bench in hopes that a change in mid laners might also lead to a change in results. In Game 2, Athena took Malzahar up against Xiaohu's Vladimir, the exact same matchup that had gone so poorly for BaeMe in Game 1. Athena played beautifully this game, though, going 4/1/8 and helping to set up the pick on Xiaohu that allowed I May to finally close out the game. In Game 3, I May picked both Vladimir and Lissandra, but chose to give Vladimir to AmazingJ instead of Athena. Athena looked uncomfortable on Lissandra the entire game, frequently finding himself caught out or blown up before he could really impact teamfights. In Game 4, Athena took Vladmiri back again, going 4/0/9 against Xiaohu's Syndra. Athena played very well off of Jinjiao's Twitch this game, diving in and drawing attention so that the rat could fire away from the backlines and finish off members of RNG. In the deciding Game 5, RNG took Vladimir for Xiaohu with the first pick, leaving Athena to take Kassadin. In a vacuum, the pick might have been fine, but this gave I May yet another lane that struggled to clear its waves, and let Mlxg farm freely on Hecarim. RNG overran I May before Athena could really become a threat on Kassadin, and I May's run through the playoffs was brought to an end.
Fantastic performance off the bench leads to playoff win over Snake
August 12, 2016
I May might have lost one game to Snake, but Athena finished undefeated, going 21/3/33 on the series.
ANALYSIS
After a Game 1 loss where BaeMe's Vladimir looked only moderately threatening, Athena came off the bench for I May and completely dominated the mid lane. In Game 2, Athena took Kassadin up against TANK's Karma, and was able to get through Kassadin's mediocre early game to become a serious threat. Even with the team mobility from a Karma, a Sivir, and a Hecarim, Athena was able to consistently chase down and pick off members of Snake thanks to some great initiation by Road's Alistar and Avoidless' Rek'Sai. In Game 3, Athena switched his pick to Vladimir, facing off against a Twisted Fate from TANK. Athena was an absolute monster this game, finishing 6/0/6 and helping I May recover from some early-game struggles in the bot lane to take the win. In Game 4, Athena switched his pick to Karma to face off against a Viktor from TANK, and showed again that he would not be denied a victory. Athena finished this game 9/2/16, with 86-percent kill participation, primarily because so much of the teamfighting in this game came during failed Baron attempts. The close quarters gave Athena easy skillshots and limited-enough space to land his tethers, helping I May win the final Baron attempt and eventually take the game.
One game, zero deaths in playoff victory over Invictus Gaming
August 10, 2016
Athena was only in for the first real game of the series, but finished with a 3/0/5 KDA.
ANALYSIS
I May took Game 1 thanks to their superior regular-season record, allowing them to effectively start the series 1-0. Athena came in for Game 2, choosing Lissandra against Rookie's Viktor in the mid lane. Rookie took the initial lead by grabbing a kill on Avoidless' Rek'Sai, but Athena was able to answer back with two kills thanks to a gank from Avoidless and a poorly timed face-check by Rookie. This game was never particularly close, and I May locked it down in short order to move on to Game 3. BaeMe came off the bench to seal the victory in that game, but Athena looked strong enough that he probably could have done the same.
