No longer with the Valiant
September 7, 2018
Verbo was released by the Los Angeles Valiant on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Making just a few appearances during the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, Verbo is now on the hunt for a new team heading into Season 2. Verbo will certainly need to work on his hero pool if he wants to turn some heads and find his way back into the OWL. While he's a solid Lucio player, that alone won't be enough to get many looks in what is sure to be a rat race with the introduction of eight new teams for Season 2.
Released from the Los Angeles Valiant
September 7, 2018
Finnsi was released by the Los Angeles Valiant on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Finnsi was a mid-season addition to the Valiant, but he never managed to even step foot on stage before being released. With the emergence of SPACE in the second half of the season, the Valiant just weren't in need of another flex player, and with Finnsi's release, it's clear that they are confident in SPACE moving forward.
Released by Valiant
September 7, 2018
numlocked was let go by the Los Angeles Valiant, the team announced Friday.
ANALYSIS
One of the ancillary players on the Valiant roster during the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, numlocked's release shouldn't be a shock. He made his debut back and May and was destroyed by a Shanghai Dragons team that failed to win a single series all season. Given his performance in that match, numlocked finding himself on a new team for Season 2 is a big question mark.
Released from Valiant
September 7, 2018
GrimReality has been released by the Los Angeles Valiant, the team announced Friday.
ANALYSIS
After being moved into a non-player role at the end of Stage 2, the Valiant have now decided to move on from GrimReality. The move doesn't come as too much of a surprise given that his main role was to act as a liaison between the players and management. With the team being much more cohesive during the latter half of the season and into Season 2, GrimReality's role is heavily diminished, leading to his release.
Bright spot even in loss
July 20, 2018
SPACE gave the Valiant a fighting chance in their 3-1 loss to the London Spitfire on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
While the Valiant loss this series, it wasn't for a lack of effort from SPACE. He held his own on the frontline against the likes of Fury and Gesture. His ultimates almost always landed in the perfect spots and turned the tides for his team. This was especially true on King's Row, which allowed the Valiant a fighting chance. Unfortunately, his contributions alone weren't enough to change the Valiant's fortunes and they're now in a 0-1 hole.
