Joins Pacific Division All-Star team
June 26, 2018
Custa will be the starting support for the Pacific Division during the All-Star Game later this summer, Blizzard has revealed.
ANALYSIS
Custa was one of the biggest additions to the Stage 4-winning roster of the Los Angeles Valiant. He joined the team at the start of Stage 3 and immediately became the shotcaller and one of the biggest reasons for the team's success in the final half of the season. He will take that leadership into the All-Star game where he, along with fellow starting support ryujehong, will hope to take down the Atlantic Division All-Stars.
Stands up to JJoNak
June 18, 2018
KariV was on fire in a 3-1 win over the New York Excelsior during the Stage 4 Finals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Up against frontrunner for season MVP, JJoNak, KariV had a tall task. It's tough to stand out when you're playing against a player like JJoNak and a team like the Excelsior, but KariV did just that in this series. He never shied away from the spotlight and lit things up with his Zenyatta. Not only did he keep his teammates alive, but he doled out damage in droves to allow the Valiant to somewhat easily push past the Excelsior on Sunday. While he doesn't have the full season resume that JJoNak has, KariV can hang his hat on this monumental playoff win.
Saves best performance for last
June 18, 2018
SPACE was thriving in a major way during the Valiant's 3-1 win over the New York Excelsior on Sunday in the Stage 4 Finals.
ANALYSIS
SPACE has been one of the biggest bright spots for the Valiant in the last two stages and this series was no different. He once again played a bevy of different heroes and synergized extremely well with Fate to form one of the beefiest frontlines in the OWL. It was tough for even the likes of Libero, Pine, and Saebyeolbe to break through and get to the Valiant's backline. As such, the Valiant DPS duo of SoOn and Agilities had free reign of the entire map to do what they wanted. If they can do this a few more times this July, they could complete one of the biggest upsets in the short history of the OWL.
Secures key picks in Stage 4 Title match
June 18, 2018
SoOn was on his game during the Los Angeles Valiant's 3-1 win over the New York Excelsior in the Stage 4 Finals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Going up against Pine, the superstar sniper for the Excelsior, is enough to make anyone nervous. That wasn't the case at all when SoOn was faced with the task of going toe-to-toe with Pine on Sunday. While Pine got the best of him at points, SoOn was the victor in the majority of their engagements. Whenever the Valiant needed a pick to jumpstart a fight, SoOn was right there with his Widowmaker to set his team up for success. Whether he'll be able to keep up this level of production when the Valiant head to the playoffs this summer will determine how deep of a run they can make.
From In N Out parking lot to Stage 4 Champion
June 18, 2018
Agilities capped off his incredible season with a 3-1 win over the New York Excelsior in the Stage 4 Finals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
While there were some major, and very much publicized, doubts about Agilities' ability to perform for the Valiant early on this season, he has slammed the door shut on them during the last two stages. His continued resurgence was on full display during this season and he stood tall against the likes of Saebyeolble and Libero to bring the Stage 4 Title to Los Angeles. Whether he was playing Junkrat, Pharah, or even Hanzo, Agilities was doing it all for this team. He seemed to always be in perfect sync with SoOn, which allowed them to rip the Excelsior to shreds from start to finish in this series. More of this in the playoffs this July and this team very well could bring home a championship.
